06.01.2022 Severe Weather Warning for DAMAGING WINDS for people in North East Pastoral and parts of North West Pastoral districts. Vigorous southerly wind change with dust in the northeast. Weather Situation: A vigorous southerly wind change is pushing northwards across the northeast of South Australia during this afternoon and evening.... Strong southerly winds are occurring with and behind the southerly change. These winds may become damaging, averaging 55-65 km/h with gusts around 90 km/h, over parts of the warning area during the rest of this afternoon and this evening. The winds are accompanied by areas of blowing dust. Locations which may be affected include Leigh Creek, Marree, Oodnadatta and Moomba. While it is windy and dusty, severe winds are no longer expected in the Flinders district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Move vehicles under cover or away from trees; * Secure or put away loose items around your property. * Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
