24.01.2022 Not only are mushrooms delicious, they can also provide us with many health benefits. They contain vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B and selenium which help support our immune systems and prevent damage to cells and tissue, fibre which aids our gut health and digestion and important proteins which our bodies require for muscle growth and retention. Starting your day with a delicious medley of mushrooms on a piece on low carb, flour free toast, is a great way of nourishi...ng your body and cells, setting you up well to take on the day ahead. Mushrooms being a very low carb vegetable, have little or no effect on raising our blood sugar. Maintaining stable blood sugar levels helps us avoid spikes of insulin. For this reason, they are a great vegetable option for people to enjoy who suffer from diabetes. Cancer patients who choose to take treatment by way of chemotherapy or radiation can often find that by regularly consuming mushrooms, they can aid in countering the side-effects of such treatments like nausea, bone marrow suppression and anemia whilst boosting their immune system, naturally helping their bodies fight the disease from within. There's just a few reasons to make more room for mush-room in your diet and enjoy the many health benefits!
22.01.2022 This is such a quick and easy nourishing lunch or dinner. Green beans with Quorn vegetarian mince and cashews. Season with soy sauce or coconut aminos, chopped garlic, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Throw in some cashews for a bit of texture and presto! Dinner is ready!
19.01.2022 Zucchini is such a versatile vegetable. Roast it, make it in to pasta, bake it into chips, stuff it, the possibilities are endless! This recipe turns a classic which normally contains over 70g of refined carbohydrate, into a healthy, nutrition packed meal that will nourish your body and cells. My vegan basil pesto zucchini pasta, delivers a big punch of flavour and will keep you feeling full for hours with no spikes of blood sugar or crashes which you would experience with ...the classic pasta version. Instead of parmesan cheese, try adding natural cashews soaked in hot water to your pesto. Blend with fresh basil leaves, toasted pine nuts, a clove of garlic, salt and olive oil. Give it a go and be sure to let us know how you go!

17.01.2022 If you or someone you know has cancer, using a microwave to heat or cook your food can significantly degrade the quality of the food you eat and even make it harmful to your body. This is a great video that explains why you should stop using microwaves in your house.
14.01.2022 When you or a loved one finds out they have Cancer, your world gets turned upside down. We know that the foods we choose to eat can have a significant effect on our bodies ability to fight cancer and prevent further growth of cancerous cells. But when the chaos hits, making decisions around what to eat, is usually the last thing on our minds. The hospital will likely provide you with a product called "Ensure" designed to "Keep your weight up" which contains 1.5 times more su...gar than Coke! Knowing that Cancer cells use sugar/glucose for fuel, this is like adding petrol to a fire. I have been a nutritionist for twenty years and since losing my Mother to Pancreatic Cancer in 2017 and my Father last year to Prostate Cancer, has encouraged me to change my focus on Nutrition to helping people beat Cancer and minimise the effects. I have found it very rewarding. Therefore, I have been developing an easy to follow meal plan using 50 of the most potent Cancer fighting foods, whilst keeping glucose/carb intake low to starve cancer cells of the fuel they need to survive. I want to help people with Cancer know what to eat to give themselves the best chances of recovering from Cancer and stay Cancer free, without having to spend countless hours researching so they can focus on healing. 13.01.2022 We love dairy, but could it be making us sick? Let us just put this out there for you to ponder. When we were infants, we drank breast milk from our mother for the first several months of life. Everything we needed to grow fast and develop was in our human mothers breast milk and when we were able to move to solids, we stopped breastfeeding. However, we are the only animal on the planet which: ... 1. Drinks the breast milk of another species and 2. Continues to drink breast milk as a fully developed adult. Somehow this practice became "normal". Kinda strange when you think of it like that huh? Then we have been heavily marketed to, to drink milk as a health drink, a drink that is designed to help baby cows and goats grow fast. So what's my beef with dairy? https://www.healyourbodywithfood.net//is-dairy-making-you-
11.01.2022 AVOID PROCESSED MEATS!!! Studies have found that the nitrates, a preservative commonly used in processed meats to extend shelf life, can increase your risks of getting cancer by over 33%. Even though Cancer Councils acknowledge this and recommend not eating processed meats, food manufacturers don't even have to list nitrates on the label by name. They can just put a sneaky number, 249 - 252 so you don't even know your eating a known carcinogen.... Now you know, avoid anything with these numbers on food products or find nitrate free products. Knowledge is power.

01.01.2022 I don't often do videos but I thought I would share how I intend to stay fit if gyms close down in Australia as they have in the US and with the possibility of being home bound with this damn virus affecting the world. It has never been more important to eat a diet which reduces inflammation and boosts our immune system. Keep eating plenty of leafy greens and above ground veg, moderate protein and plenty of good fats. Having bags of almonds and cashews are a great way of havi...ng healthy snacks ready when you need a boost. Be prepared and stay healthy so we come out of this situation in good shape.
