11.01.2022 AVOID PROCESSED MEATS!!! Studies have found that the nitrates, a preservative commonly used in processed meats to extend shelf life, can increase your risks of getting cancer by over 33%. Even though Cancer Councils acknowledge this and recommend not eating processed meats, food manufacturers don't even have to list nitrates on the label by name.
