25.01.2022 There is so much to gain from prioritising your health and fitness, and not much too lose. Just those excuses. And we can tell you, everyone has them. Give them up, let them go. Excuses cannot be part of your mindset if your goal is improving yourself. If they exist, and you indulge in them, then nothing is going to change in a hurry.... In our gym, leave your excuses at the door. Bring your best self in and give it everything you’ve got. Even on the hardest days, there’s nothing better than taking your mind off life’s drama and shit for an hour. And you might surprise yourself and actually leave feeling better than when you arrived.

20.01.2022 We’ve always been great listeners and we really do care about each and everyone of you. However...your secrets really are safe with us as we hear so many that we don’t hold onto them for you. Your issues and problems are yours. Not our bag to carry.... The things we remember are all about the good stuff, things we want to encourage and celebrate. If I’m hearing something that makes me a little uncomfortable I may politely tell you to shut up. P.s. we mean this in the nicest way possible.

18.01.2022 Honest truth today. Nothing can be achieved without discipline. You can ‘want’ all you like, but without the commitment and action to ‘do it’, you will fail every time. ... That’s the difference and it’s totally up to you.

16.01.2022 For most of us, potatoes have always been a staple part of our diet. As kids, we ate potato in some form, every second day, if not every day. Mashed, roasted, fried, boiled. Then something happened and sweet potato became the new ‘potato’ and white potatoes were labelled BAD. Just because they share a name, these two veggies are otherwise unrelatedand both deserve a place in your diet. If all you’re looking for is a Vitamin A rich food, then sweet potato is the go-to. ... When included as part of a balanced diet, these two foods contribute an array of nutrients, each complimenting the other. And if you’re worried about the carbs in potatoes causing weight gain, think again. In reality, the carbs found in potatoes and sweet potatoes are mostly starch and fibre - which actually help keep you lean and healthy. Stop the carb shaming people. These foods are an important part of our diets. Everything in moderation!! It’s all about how & what you cook them with

15.01.2022 Farewell to another year Cheers to a year we’ll never forget! Cheers to all the challenges we made it through!... Cheers to all our loyal friends! Cheers to love & learning! Cheers to 2020 - you’ve definitely kept it real! Here’s cheers to living the lucid dream in 2021! Now let’s tackle this in style! Happy New Year.

15.01.2022 We’ve been a bit absent from social media lately...busy with life & other stuff Regardless, we know that having a break from social media is an important practice we all should do on a regular basis. It shouldn’t necessarily be a reaction to stress, crisis or transition. Taking a break helps us stay focused on our goals, giving us a break from planning our upcoming posts, researching & executing good, quality content for you guys.... Social media is the procrastination hub. Don’t give in!! Spend some time in the present moment. We will be back soon

14.01.2022 You guys made a human!! And she is just devine A huge congrats to our mates, Ayla & Josh, for the creation of their beautiful little girl, Murphy Zander Irvine ... Get ready to be loved little one!! Aunties T & C xx

12.01.2022 In the world we know, it’s understandable that most people are ‘on guard’. We respond to people who tick us off with fear, disguised often by anger. And there’s a lot to piss us off. We read about other’s opinions on social media, we are exposed to ideas and values that are not congruent with our own. All. The. Time. The question is - Why do we get so riled up? We only end up expending energy because we’re scared. Responding like this is hard, exhaustingit can weigh heavily ...on us if we allow it. Can we be strong yet kind? Could we try to be tough yet tender? There is no denying that there are big issues in our world. Issues that are much much much bigger than us. So let’s not deny that this exists, but be kinder to ourselves when we come across things that cause us to be defensive. Give yourself time to process your feelings.

11.01.2022 They say a change is as good as a holiday and we wholeheartedly agree. When we become too comfortable with our situation, we become complacent, affecting our productivity, our relationships, our emotional state, and even our health. Keep things interesting by embracing changes, try something new, go somewhere different, talk in the elevator, smile...step out of your comfort zone.... If nothing else, you’ll at least know you have the courage to give it a go

11.01.2022 Did you know that Abs are made in the kitchen. We hear so many people say they just want abs. Getting abs, or making any muscle visible, is all about a calorie deficit. It’s not magic - control your calories, lose weightyou’ll have less fat ... We all want things we don’t have. We desire perfect physical attributes, like a six pack. Hardly ever are we prepared to put in the work to create the physique, or more importantly, the work to maintain it. Instead of wanting wanting wanting, learn to be ok with what you have. 2 things Abs won’t last forever. Social media is full of shit. That’s all.

10.01.2022 2020 has thrown everyone a curve ball, or two (or three) and whether we admit it or not, we’ve probably all needed some form of therapy to help sort through everything.... It doesn’t just mean sitting and talking about your feelings , although a useful strategy, this isn’t for everyone... There are so many ways we can work through our issues and emotions that are as beneficial as good old fashioned ‘therapy’, but don’t come with the cost or stigma One of those is exer...cise. Another - social interaction. And what do you know, we provide both Ultimately, exercise will change your life. Maybe a little, or maybe a lot. What we see is how our gym gives people what they need, and we watch change happen as they commit to prioritising their health and happiness. It might not be for everyone, but it’s definitely our icing on the top of the cake

09.01.2022 Merry Christmas Thanks to our amazing little community. Thanks to your support.... Thanks to everyone who checked in on us, & each other. Thanks to our mates. We are incredibly grateful to have you all in our lives Christmas is different for everyone, for some it is a great family celebration, others a stressful, sad time of the year. Whatever it means to you, at the end of this crazy year, make sure you take the time to reflect and say thankyou. We have had a cracking year! Love to you all Tess, Cara, Liam & Eli.

08.01.2022 Take the time to notice how you react emotionally to situations and people. If you find that you get angry, frustrated or upset, this could be a good sign that what’s happening out there or who you’re talking to is causing you to question the internal story you tell yourself. These reactions can be caused because the new information is different to what you believe, maybe suggesting that this is incorrect. This can be a difficult pill to swallow if it’s been a long held beli...ef or something you are seriously attached to. Having some flexibility & being prepared to correct your internal story will help to ease those heightened emotional responses. Learn to be willing to shift. Take on a different perspective. We’re not always right. Even if we’ve been telling ourselves the same story our whole life.

07.01.2022 Calling all Ladies!! Are you looking for a gym where you can work out with like minded females, in a safe, inclusive and comfortable space? All fitness levels are welcome. All ages are welcome. Whatever your reason for wanting to exercise, you will be welcomed with open arms. ... Be prepared to have a laugh, make some new friends, and learn how to exercise and have fun along the way.

06.01.2022 Forgiveness is as much for our own good as anything else. Releasing grudges can really change your life. It doesn’t mean you forget who hurt you, how they hurt you, or what consequences occurred as a result. It just means that you give yourself the opportunity to move on, to learn a worthwhile lesson and things about yourself that you might have been avoiding due to the pain of being hurt. ... Maybe there’s a grudge you’ve been holding onto for ages, decades even, someone you’ve never forgiven beforenow might be the time to try it. Go on, you can do it.

06.01.2022 Gentle reminder to get some fresh air and perspective. It’s beautiful outdoors at the moment. Everything is fresh and green and alive. So go outside and enjoy it. ... Take your mind off whatever it is that’s got you stuck and go for a walk, or sit in the park and be still and quiet. Soak it up.

06.01.2022 This is a fitting statement & for us, & sums up our experience of 2020. Wanting something & working for it requires you to use your willpower. We can try & ‘will’ ourselves NOT to do something or to STOP yourself, Don’t eat that chocolate cake... but it’s usually a futile attempt...... Why not use your ‘will’ to DO something different or to START yourself, Go for a walk instead of eating that cake.... you’ll find this will be sooo much more successful For some, 2020 has seen them fail at creating and keeping willpower. That’s a tough position to be in, and not one we envy at all. Each to their own however. There are some people who just cannot push themselves out of their comfort zone or maintain a commitment to something when things get rough. And for us, even though 2020 has been a shit show, we’ve managed to maintain our willpowerwhich wasn’t always easy, and took daily effort. If you’re still struggling, feeling low, hating on yourself, wishing things were different, wanting to lose those covid curves, it’s never too late to flex that willpower. Give yourself a goal, start small and work up to bigger things.

04.01.2022 I don’t like quitters. I dislike lazy people a lot. I want only the best on my team. I’m a patient person but when it comes to training, for me, you’re all in or you’re not in at all. If you’re new to FF, you won’t know this, but our vibe has completely changed since covid. Every single person who comes in to train with us, puts in 110% every session. ... Every. Single. One. For some, covid meant they haven’t come back to the gym. Different lifestyle, enjoying walkingeach to their own. For those who have come back, and those who never left, it’s as though they’ve tapped into reserves they didn’t know they had! There’s no quitters here. No cheats or bludgers, no sooks We cater for those who love to push themselves, find their limits, then work out how to lift their expectations even higher. We all get tired. Fucking oath we do. But what we don’t do is quit. Where there’s a will there’s always a way.

04.01.2022 Stop putting it off. You keep saying ‘later’ and later never comes. Whatever it is. ... Starting walking everyday. Throw out all the shit in your pantry. Book that fitness class or session you’ve wanted to try. Or come and join our gym Just get in and do it.

04.01.2022 Let’s talk Expectations...MUST READ If you bought a car, went to drive it out of the lot & couldn’t start it, would you just sit there & not say anything? I think not. You’d go & find someone, you would ‘expect’ their help after making such an important purchase.... This being said, the same applies to paying for coaching & nutritional guidance. We give you a start. Then it’s up to you to communicate if that’s working for you, & if it’s not, to communicate the bits that need tweaking or change. For example...nutrition... Here’s your meal plan, based on what you generally eat, what you enjoy & what you don’t. If you try this for a week & you’re not enjoying it - communicate this to your coach!! If you don’t say anything...WE WON’T KNOW!! We are good, but we’re not mind readers. Really, our only expectation is that you will communicate with us, your coaches. Communicate if you’re happy, or not, with your meal plan or training program. Communicate your progress regularly so we can avoid plateaus. Communicate your own expectations of us. Communicate what you need to make your goals happen. The best results we’ve seen are from clients who speak up. It means they give a shit about the service they are paying for!! They choose to be responsible for their purchase, they ask questions, they tell us what they’re not happy with (so we can change it!!), they ask for our advice & they walk away with knowledge & the power to change things in the future themselves!! One more thing...trust the process and you’ll reap the rewards. If you fall off the wagon, it just means you’re one day further away from reaching your goal We really care about our members & genuinely want to help them achieve all their goals. But...the only we can be effective in that is if they COMMUNICATE with us (yes that’s shouting). We can’t do the work for you people, we just set the fundamentals & then it’s up to you to do the work Could I be any clearer

03.01.2022 It would be awesome if people cared just as much about their own health as they do about how many $$$’s they have in the bank. We only get one shot at looking after our bodies. If we fail, we have everything to lose - we will suffer from a myriad of medical issues, we will die early, and it will most likely be a painful, uncomfortable death. The shitty thing is that this can be reduced by making some good choices, aka good investments, earlier on in life. ... You can’t take that $$$ to your grave, so put it toward avoiding going there too soon.

03.01.2022 Christmas is just around the corner and so is our final phase for the year. As of 30th November all FFIT members have unlimited access to the Open groups. Why wouldn’t you come to every session?! The final phase is always a cracker... This is the time when everyone gets a chance to use any ‘reserves’ they may have leftover from the year. Just a reminder that our last session will be at 5.30pm on Thursday 24th December and we will re-open on Monday 4th January 2021. We look forward to slogging out the final phase with you all.

03.01.2022 Christmas is almost here! And yes we know you’re all super busy with kids finishing school, organising for holidays and having Xmas parties Just a reminder not to get too caught up in it all. Xmas happens every year ... Make time for yourself, even if you can’t get to the gym (although we don’t know how ), go for a walk or book yourself a massage It’s all about moderation

02.01.2022 Our ‘Silly sock & Super short’ Saturday session is the perfect way to finish off the week! Bring your mates & wear some colour or a wacky design Btw - Saturday’s are all about teamwork - finish off the week strong & supported

02.01.2022 There are a lot of people who live this cycle. And in our opinion, fail to get the full potential out of their body and their training. Why put all that hard work in at the gym, push your body to its limit, test your strength and endurance, to only desecrate it with fast food and booze. For the time and effort your body provides you, it should be worshiped. We all need learn to appreciate, respect and take care of the only place we have to live.... Don’t complain because you are not seeing the results

01.01.2022 If you really want something - go for it. When it’s difficult and you might consider giving up - dig in deeper. If it seems like everything is going against you - keep pushing.... Respond to those who doubt you with courage and perserverence. When you have a goal and a dream, don’t give up on that for anyone or anything. If it’s meant to be, it’s up to me.

01.01.2022 Not much more to say than this No matter what’s going on for you right now, it’ll pass. The good will come & go, just like the ups & down. There’s always another day to pick yourself up, dust yourself off & start again. ... If you ask me, that’s a pretty good gig we’ve got. The chance to start againevery day.

01.01.2022 Own everyday...it’s yours. From beginning to end. Never apologise for being you. Ask yourself who & what you are living for...if the answer doesn’t start with you & isn’t yours...then we think you’re living your life wrong!... The right person will only add to your life, they won’t force you to live their way, & they shouldn’t want to live yours. The right person will help you enjoy the life you create together.
