21.01.2022 Some humour in his sadness of losing his hair. Not all memories are bad

20.01.2022 Friday Facts: X-Ray of a survivor. If we truly want to know more about childhood cancer, we all must look deeper, because appearances alone do not tell the whole story of the struggle the child and their entire family is going through to just be "normal."

20.01.2022 Wow it’s hard to believe it’s been one year for the first round and first day of life saving chemo! #MitchellsFight

20.01.2022 Wow it’s hard to believe 2yrs ago you were diagnosed with Lymphoma B cell Cancer. In those 2 yrs youve fought your way to being Cancer free (2019), had to deal with COVID (2020) and wasn’t allowed anywhere as you had no immunity to anything, immune system is back on track by the end of the year (2020), had to get all his immunisations done again. Basically missed out on the first 2 yrs of high school. So you’ve got the struggles of playing catch up for yr7&8 and dealing wit...h year 9. This is the year 2021 of good thing, back into one of your sports you love and representing Far North Queensland in Tasmania. Check ups are now 3 monthly. Health is going well and would like to say a big Thankyou to every single person that helped, gave your time, supported Mitchell and his family on the journey in recovery. It’s been a hard two years but we Thankyou , so feeling pretty blessed . #MitchellsFight #Remission See more

17.01.2022 Woohoo counts are looking good enough for Mitchell to start immunisation. This is exciting for the whole family as we will be able to travel as soon as we’re allowed... As you can see he isn’t too impressed by it all. #MitchellsFight #Remission

16.01.2022 Only one parent is allowed with your child while at the hospital and for oncology they get you to take the shortest route to paediatric oncology for safety and less traveled by public. All results were fairly good, some counts were down, but not to concerned as results will fluctuate. But still in remission #8mths #MitchellsFight #Remission

14.01.2022 Please take note! #MitchellsFight #Remission

12.01.2022 As a lot of us know Mitchell was suppose to represent Nth Qld in the President Sheild in Melbourne and due to being diagnosed with Lymphoma B Cell Cancer in 2019 this wasn’t possible. Now 14mths in remission he has fought hard to get back to where he was , now that the opportunity has come again and went to Townsville over the weekend to see if he could roll himself into the team. All I can say we are absolutely proud of him, to think he has gone from this sick little boy, to someone who is over the moon of achieving his place into the 2021 President Sheild team (Tasmania) Also a big thanks to his Coach Jamie Miller for his patients and hard work over the last year to get Mitchell back at training. #Mitchellsfight #Remission #Grateful

11.01.2022 With all this sadness and upheaval of our country at the moment , here is a happy post 7mths on and still In remission, Mitchell actually has enough hair for him to get a proper overall cut, his Aunt in Brisbane done the very first one, 3mths ago. It’s growing so fast now, he’ll probs need another one if we’re allowed to travel in June Faith

10.01.2022 We’re a little late in getting this post up due to circumstances , it’s been a full on couple of years for young Mitchell and his family. Having to to go through Lymphoma B-Cell Cancer himself and then to having to watch his Great Uncle Terry deteriorate from Prostate Cancer, it just shows cancer does not discriminate wether your young or old. But we got to spend another Christmas with Uncle Terry, these are the moments you are grateful for. You don’t realise when time flies... by it could be your last word or last hug or last get together. Be kind, show you care, forgive, don’t put that get together off and cherish the moments. We are most grateful for everyone’s support and kind words over the last two years and especially the support from My sister Kristan Lum and Partner Jamie Miller. Wishing everyone a very belated Christmas and Happy New year. #MitchellsFight #Remission #Grateful #newbeginnings2021 See more

06.01.2022 Mothers Day was a Great Day for Mitchell as he was restricted with going anywhere with his low immunity, then going into lockdown with restrictions with Covid-19. After a few hiccups with his first batch of immunisations, he finally got the chance to go out and spend the day with family, in an isolated area. He had a fantastic time until he ate a whole packet of salty plums in one sitting The water was Freezing, but the kids were determined to get in.

04.01.2022 It’s been 12mth to the day since you had your last round of Chemotherapy , a head full of hair now and teenage attitude to match, wouldn’t change it for the world, your here! #MitchellsFight #Remission

02.01.2022 Even when things were hard and Mitchell struggled, he still managed to find humour. If we all smile a little more in this world it would be a better place
