Through the hard work of many individuals before, during and after the day, the 25th Figtree Community Carols was a huge success!

16.01.2022 A MESSAGE ABOUT FIREWORKS AT FIGTREE COMMUNITY CAROLS from Figtree Anglican Church. Over recent weeks, many community groups who have been planning their end of year Carols celebrations, have been shocked by the bushfire tragedy that continues to unfold across our nation. We have all, in some way been impacted by these events, by the extraordinary losses of both life and property, and by the incredible work of our firefighters and their large band of volunteers, who continue ...to go above and beyond to serve us all. This reality has also had its impact on the running of our own annual Carols event, which traditionally has ended with a spectacular fireworks display; enjoyed by both kids and adults alike. Therefore, and as a result of our own reflections and in consultation with both Wollongong City Council and the Department of Education we wish to advise you that we will not be holding a fireworks presentation at the end of this year’s Carols event. However, we still believe that Figtree Community Carols 2019 is an event not to be missed! So please join us once again to celebrate the Christmas season as a community, with a fantastic array of local talent, fun for the whole family, and an opportunity to financially support the NSW Rural Fire Service once again.
