10.01.2022 Kana mada kana mada Tavioka Tavioka Kena coi na bele Kena coi na bele Na ika, Na ika... Did you read it or did you sing it. Fijian nursery rhythm come through Fish, greens, kumala/kumara(sweet patato) with miti(coconut milk), chillie, with a squeeze of lemon Thank you to our guest for dining with us and volunteering to be a model in this shot. This year we'll be cooking and baking more island food but will brunch out abit. I'd like to thank all our valued and committed customers, family and friends for all the support thus far. 2020 has been a difficult year for many especially for Victorians who have been in lockdown for more then a month facing their own battles work related and personally. I will admit growing up I wasn't a fan of this but I've grown a soft spot for it The excuses and made up stories just to skip eating rourou(row/row) looking back now makes me laugh. Rourou is the leaf of the taro plant that is also used in this picture. One of the meals I can't wait to have upon touch down in Fiji... #doumaikana #fijianfood #blessed
