23.01.2022 Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Illaihi Raajiuon It is very sad to announce the passing away of Brother Haji Mohammed Hakim of Brisbane Australia and formally of Lautoka Fiji. He was part of Cuvu Bulldozing and Royal Transport with his Brothers which started in Lautoka Fiji and he did alot of work for Fiji Muslim League and Lautoka Muslim league as well as Muslim Leagues in Brisbane and Melbourne Australia. He was a former President of Fiji Islamic and cultural society of Victoria (FICS...OV). Father of Rozene and Father in Law of Brother Mukhtar of Brisbane Australia Janazah will take place on Monday, 13th January 2020 at 10am at Mt gravatt cemetery. May ALLAH SWT grant him the highest levels of Jannatul Firdouz and give Sabr to the families. Aameen

23.01.2022 Fiji Islamic and Cultural Society of Victoria wishes to inform all the members that the moon has not been sighted and therefore Eid Ul Fitr will be celebrated on Monday 25 May 2020. Due to Govt. restrictions, EID Salaat will.not be prayed at the Centre.

23.01.2022 Asalamwalaikum dear brothers and sisters hope everyone is doing well by the grace of Allah swt. We at FICSOV are concerned about our members and rest of general public's health and well-being therefore have cancelled all our upcoming activities and events including Friday juma salat due to COVID- 19 virus. We apologise for any inconvenience. Please keep making lots of dua for forgiveness from Allah swt and for the well being of so many affected from this virus around the world also for the places of worship to be reopened again. 23.01.2022 The Board of the Fiji Islamic Society of Victoria wishes to inform all their members that the moon has not been sighted for Dhul Hijjah on 21 July 2020 and hence according to the sunnah of our beloved Prophet (PBUH) the month of Dhul Hijjah will commence from Thursday 23 July. Eid Ul Adha will be celebrated on Saturday 1 August 2020. However, due to the pandemic restrictions, Eid salat will not be performed at our centre. We wish every one a happy Eid. EID MUBARAK.

21.01.2022 Eid Mubarak to you all. Fiji Islamic Society of Victoria wishes to inform the members that if the moon is sighted on Saturday 23 May 20, EID UL FITR will be celebrated on Sunday 24 May 20. Please contact the Board members if anyone sights the moon on Saturday. We will announce whether or not the moon is sighted on Saturday at 8.30pm. If the moon is not sighted on Saturday 23 May 20 then EID UL FITR will be celebrated on Monday 25 May 20. Due to the Govt restrictions, EID salat will not be prayed at the Center. Eid Mubarak....

16.01.2022 The Society is encouraging all our members to sight the moon on Thursday 23 April 2020 and if anyone sights the moon, please call Mohammed Saiyad or Sheraz Sahib. We will make an announcement around 9.00pm whether the moon is sighted or not. If the moon is not sighted, start fasting from Saturday 25 April.
