19.01.2022 HUMAN TRAFFICKING BULA ALL, After following the Local News and Headlines in the Communities we would like to take this time and make it Public Awareness of the most horrific news to hit our Community and People.... In recent times we have had a handful of Native Fijians come forward and ask for our Help due to the most horrific act in todays Society. Human Trafficking. We all believed that this was over decades ago and that IN todays Society it did not exist any longer. Boy were we wrong. After communicating and coming into contact with the Trafficked people we would like to take the time and let all know that this is NOT OK. The Australian Federal Police have intervened and have helped rescue these people from a farm in the middle of Victoria in squalid conditions, haven’t been paid for weeks and their only form of pay was food and shelter. The Subcontractor a Tongan couple made a deal with a couple in Fiji for the workers to transit in Sydney on their way to Papua New Guinea. Whilst they were in Sydney Airport the Tongan Contractor picked them up and took them to the farm in Mildura. After 3 weeks of enduring Slave like conditions they managed to contact Sakiusa Lesuma who inline contacted the AFP and a Solicitor. The AFP organised their Bridging Visa because this was classified as Human Trafficking. The RED Cross was also brought into this and picked them up and transported them to a hotel in Dandenong. One of them contacted the Fijian Association Inc asking for help and we as the Association got together and helped them with their needs. We are posting this to make you all aware of what is happening and if you have any family or friends in the same situation please look at helping them. And for those of you back home in FIJI. Here is a picture of the couple organising Human trafficking. They are posting as Travel Agents and taking money from unsuspected Native Fijians who are looking to come and work in Australia as farm workers. If anyone else has any similar stories please feel free to contact us via our email or on FB. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ANNA VAKALOLOMA & VASUA KATAVATU ARE THE SAME PERSON. Mrs Anna Vakaloloma used to work at the Australian Embassy in Fiji. We will be exposing some more names in this Human Trafficking Ring Soon.
