25.01.2022 Hello guys! I hope you are all keeping warm in this winter season. Just for an update whats on with FAHWA. Our outreach program with St. Barts has already been organised for the rest of the year 2020. We will have it every last Friday of each month in the morning. This will give enough time to any members who are willing to volunteer on that said date. Watch this space as we will post the outreach schedule monthly in advance. Block the dates and join us in this rewarding an...d fun activities. The outreach program dates are as follows: July 31 August 28 September 25 October 30 November 27 December 18 (this is 3rd Friday as last Friday falls on Christmas Day) This will be at St. Barts, 7 Lime St. East Perth and starts @ 9:30 am. 08.01.2022 What an amazing day (27/06/20)to end FAHWAs activities for the month of June. COVID-19 pandemic has affected a lot of people in different ways. FAHWA has done well in providing outreach activities/advocacy during these times since the pandemic started and still continuing to serve the community and the unfortunates. On behalf of FAHWA, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all who extended their help of any kind to make these advocacies a success. And of course to all the FAHWA officers and members who are always devoting their free time in volunteering and raising funds. Thank you everyone. 08.01.2022 This morning, FAHWA charity led by Ms. Aida Oakdon, have been to Novotel Perth with relief packages for the crew members of the Al Kuwait livestock carrier who are now under quarantine at the said hotel. Thanks FAHWA team for all the hard work and the support which made this possible. True heroes in our simple way at this time of crisis.

05.01.2022 FAHWA Inc Charity is pleased to announce the appointment of Gen Luis-Gomes to the role of Vice President (External) effective as of 31st May 2020. Gen brings a wealth of experiences to her new role of providing strategic leadership in the planning and implementation of FAHWAs charitable objectives, specifically in promoting and fostering Filipino and non-Filipino culture through dance, music and in the observance of Filipino and non-Filipino customs, festivals and ceremonies.... Gen is a graduate of Bachelor of Laws from Mindanao State University (Philippines). Gen served in the Philippine Public Service as a legal officer in the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). Gen held various positions within the DAR legal division over a career spanning 17 years. These positions included the positions of Legal Officer, Adjudication Services Assistant and Agrarian Reform Program Officer. These were critical roles within DARs quasi-judicial Court and provided Gen with invaluable skills that help her in better serving the community. Gen possesses an innate passion for serving the community; she joined the Rotary International organisation in the year 2009 and was elected the President of the Rotary Club of San Francisco (Philippines) in RY 2013-2014. During her tenure as president Gen led a series of community based projects including medical missions to remote areas in Mindanao. These projects included a number of initiatives including feeding programs for those afflicted by extreme poverty, donations of educational supplies to schools, blood donations for medical use, and a refurbishment of second hand goods program to raise funds for ongoing community needs and services. Gen migrated to Australia in 2016. She is currently working in the health services industry. Gen is still steadfast in her commitment to community service and previously served as an Officer with the Filipino Australian Multicultural Association. Gen is proud to be affiliated with FAHWA and is looking forward to serving in her new position as Vice President (External). Please join us in welcoming Gen and wishing her every success.

Serving and building relationships with those people living rough on the streets. Special thanks to Dr. Vanessa Hipolitos patients for the beautifully made crochet blankets.... Also, to our fantastic volunteers Emma Hanh Ma, Adela Aida, Paz Madzen, Tampus Gracey and Basilonia-Ryall Jenz for the pillows, blankets, sanitisers and other basic needs. Well done FAHWA team .

They had spent their freetime together and continued to support the community by promoting health and distributing the " blessing bags" to the homeless. Well done ladies. Great team effort!
