24.01.2022 JFF 2020 kicks off online tonight! Full screening schedule below:

22.01.2022 Our friends at Static Vision have prepared a marathon horror stream for Halloween by the name of Cursed Signal: A Static Vision Spooktacular - featuring interviews (following films from) Tetsuro Takeuchi & Guitar Wolf (Wild Zero), Anna Biller (The Love Witch), Damon Packard (Fatal Pulse, Dawn of an Evil Millennium), Brian Trenchard-Smith (surprise film!), Joel Potrykus (Buzzard) plus cult classics including Night of the Living Dead, Blood Feast, Plan 9 From Outer Space, Little Shop of Horrors and more. Kicks off tomorrow evening at 6pm and continues nonstop for the rest of the weekend; more info & schedule in the link below:

22.01.2022 Newly arrived imports! (Ben visibly working beyond...) Includes a new doc on early cinema pioneer Alice Guy-Blaché, a box-set of six coldly beautiful docs by Austrian documentarian Nikolaus Geyrhalter (including ‘99’s PRIPYAT, a look at people living near the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in Ukraine & 2000’s globe-trotting ELSEWHERE), plus a twofer of previously-super-rare early adaptations of Elena Ferrante novels (TROUBLING LOVE and THE DAYS OF ABANDONMENT).... Amidst the spines ye see: HAL (2018 doc on the career of Hal Ashby) THE DEATH OF DICK LONG (expectedly wild new movie from one half of the Swiss Army Man team) END OF THE CENTURY (2019 Argentinian gay romantic drama compared to Linklater’s ‘Before’ films and Apichatpong Weerasethakul) TESNOTA (aka CLOSENESS; Beanpole director Kantemir Balagov’s 2017 debut) THE DAY AFTER (Hong Sang-soo’s 2017 drama, not the nuclear apocalypse one which we also have) THE COMPETITION (2016, verite look at prestigious French film school La Fémis), Debut features of Oliver Stone (SEIZURE) and Guy Maddin’s (TALES FROM THE GIMLI HOSPITAL) ...and much more! Ask in comments below if you need more info on one of the spines, region compatibility, etc. (best to call 93318105 to reserve or hold a title)

21.01.2022 New releases & newly-arrived older titles peacefully co-existing... among them, Armando Iannucci's latest THE PERSONAL HISTORY OF DAVID COPPERFIELD (starring Dev Patel), the latest season of Vikings, animator Don Hertzfeldt's acclaimed trilogy of (EVERYTHING WILL BE OK / I AM SO PROUD OF YOU / IT’S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY), box sets of ‘30s films from French master Julien Duvivier & ‘80s/‘90s films from Theo Angelopoulos (incl. the much-requested LANDSCAPES IN THE MIST), Criterion edition of Robert Zemeckis' 1978 feature debut - the Beatlemania-in-New Jersey comedy I WANNA HOLD YOUR HAND & a new remaster of the terrific 1982 Canadian western (Maple syrup western? Poutine western?) THE GREY FOX, starring Richard Farnsworth. As always, call 93318105 to reserve any title.

21.01.2022 The only year-end list that matters... (we have Butt Boy, Deerskin, The Hunt & True History of the Kelly Gang to rent)

20.01.2022 Last few weeks of new arrivals... We’ve got a set of titles from overlooked New German Cinema maestro Roland Klick (including the Can-scored western DEADLOCK, the early-Scorsese-ish SUPERMARKET & Dennis Hopper as an egomaniacal tour manager in WHITE STAR), 2019 Showgirls doc YOU DON’T NOMI, Peter Watkins’ epic 2000 final film LA COMMUNE, 2014 pop melodrama BEYOND THE LIGHTS (from Love & Basketball writer-director Gina Prince-Bythewood & starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw), 2016’s STAYING VERTICAL (French auteur Alain Guiraudie’s very weird follow up to Stranger by the Lake), the provocative 2016 French teen-terrorism drama NOCTURAMA, plus a stack of Warner Archive classics (2nd pic) and much more... call 93318105 to check availability or put something on hold/reserve!

19.01.2022 Last few weeks of new release movies (1st & 2nd pics), new release TV series (top 3 in pic 3), and a few imported older & recent-ish titles to boot... DVD region compatibility noted in each pic!

14.01.2022 Last few weeks of new releases & new arrivals! (Covers facing for newies & spines facing for older titles) Apologies for a bit of overlap in titles from our last update...

04.01.2022 One week to go! Stay safe everybody.

02.01.2022 We have multi-region LASER BluRay players ($120) and DVD players ($50) for sale! (Quantities as displayed) Unlock the archaically region-locked wonders of the store and beyond! Call 93318105 if you’d like to reserve one.

02.01.2022 New releases & new arrivals! (Stickerless ones in these pics are Region 4 overnighters). Ask if you need more info on a spine in here...
