22.01.2022 'Cry of the Forests' is a brand new documentary film that shines a light on the plight of our magnificent South West forests and their role in drawing down and storing carbon. Our forests are vital to slowing run-away climate change, yet instead of preserving them we are cutting them down at an alarming rate for charcoal, firewood and wood-chips. Forests play a crucial role in the water cycle but the streams that once bubbled through these ecological communities are drying up and the critical habitat they provide for endangered species is shrinking. The film takes viewers to the heart of the forests to see first-hand the beauty of these towering ecosystems and the life they support. Will we save our forests in time for them to save us?

"The joy for me, or the steady-state enjoyment that occasionally rises to joy, is the far-ranging, free-associating quality of Rob's and Steve's riffs, and, most deliciously, their wizardly impressions." - Joe Morgenstern, WALL STREET JOURNAL

07.01.2022 Ahead of an upcoming exhibition, Dan is approached by a South Sudanese cab driver, Sebastian (Andrew Luri), who arrives on his door with a special request: that Dan photograph an African community choir he belongs to. My first thought was that this would lead to the broken Dan becoming whole again by belting out a few uplifting songs with the choristers. But Sebastian has an ulterior motive: he doesn’t want Dan to exhibit photographs of a massacre at the village where he lived 15 years ago. He has his own reasons for this, which are explored over the course of the running time and are points of tension between the two characters.
