25.01.2022 Take a Trip to Greece tomorrow night with comedians Steve Coogan & Rob Brydon.
25.01.2022 'The Trip to Greece' screens next week! The real question is... will there be more amazing impressions? The answer is yes. Of course. "The joy for me, or the steady-state enjoyment that occasionally rises to joy, is the far-ranging, free-associating quality of Rob's and Steve's riffs, and, most deliciously, their wizardly impressions." - Joe Morgenstern, WALL STREET JOURNAL

24.01.2022 We're very excited to be screening 'Hearts and Bones' next week! Starring Hugo Weaving and newcomer Andrew Luri. We applaud the talents of South Sudanese refugee Luri, a former garbage truck driver turned AACTA Award nominee! Luri knew nothing about acting when a South Sudanese-Australian community representative put his name forward to audition for the film. Having twice fled war-torn South Sudan during wars first for Kenya then later for Egypt with his wife and then four children Luri migrated to Australia on a humanitarian visa in 2003. See the film on the 23rd!
24.01.2022 Next week Wednesday we screen CinefestOZ 2019 Finalist 'Hearts and Bones'. A war photographer (Hugo Weaving) has just returned home to prepare for his latest exhibition when a South Sudanese refugee appears at his door with a request that he not exhibit any photographs of the massacre in his village, taken 15 years earlier. What emerges is an unlikely friendship between the two men. While sifting through the photographer’s archive, they make a startling discovery. As more revelations arise, both men begin to question their past and in their search, they discover salvation.
23.01.2022 'Hearts and Bones' screens tomorrow! The CinefestOZ 2019 finalist will bring plenty of heartfelt drama to the screen. Come and see fantastic Australian film with your mates on Wednesday Friend's Day! "It is a human-oriented drama that builds a thoughtful and contemplative space, empathising with characters grappling with difficult circumstances outside the common experience." - Luke Buckmaster, GUARDIAN
22.01.2022 Tonight we'd like to whisk you away on a journey to Greece! Enjoy every inch of it's scenic beauty, delicious food and the hearty laughs Rob & Steve will give "At a time when international travel is close to impossible-and laughs are in short supply too-The Trip to Greece is just what Hippocrates ordered." - TIME Magazine

18.01.2022 'It's nice to have an opera about a strong woman, driven by strong women.' 'Love Opera' not only follows the journey of opera students trying to make it big, but also celebrates a hero of opera, Lisa Gasteen. Check out the trailer below!
17.01.2022 Tonight we follow Danny's life from child to rough-as-guts gang member. This gritty tale also proves to be quite emotional so bring those kleenex. 'Savage' screens tonight at 6:15pm - don't miss it!
17.01.2022 'Cry of the Forests' is a brand new documentary film that shines a light on the plight of our magnificent South West forests and their role in drawing down and storing carbon. Our forests are vital to slowing run-away climate change, yet instead of preserving them we are cutting them down at an alarming rate for charcoal, firewood and wood-chips. Forests play a crucial role in the water cycle but the streams that once bubbled through these ecological communities are drying up and the critical habitat they provide for endangered species is shrinking. The film takes viewers to the heart of the forests to see first-hand the beauty of these towering ecosystems and the life they support. Will we save our forests in time for them to save us?

16.01.2022 '23 Walks' is a story of companionship and friendship, what better film for Wednesday Friend's Day? Take someone you love to this touching, tender film this Wednesday - and share in the joy of film. "The real joy of this tender love story is in its details, the beauty in the mundane, the quiet pain of those yearning for companionship and friendship and the silent power in a simple story about two elderly people walking their dogs." - Jarrod Walker, FILMINK
15.01.2022 'Hearts and Bones' is on tonight! It's fantastic to be able to show quality Australian film on the big screen. Starring Hugo Weaving a 'non-actor' Andrew Luri in his debut, the film gives plenty of food for thought about trauma, morals and friendships.
15.01.2022 Ahead of an upcoming exhibition, Dan is approached by a South Sudanese cab driver, Sebastian (Andrew Luri), who arrives on his door with a special request: that Dan photograph an African community choir he belongs to. My first thought was that this would lead to the broken Dan becoming whole again by belting out a few uplifting songs with the choristers. But Sebastian has an ulterior motive: he doesn’t want Dan to exhibit photographs of a massacre at the village where he lived 15 years ago. He has his own reasons for this, which are explored over the course of the running time and are points of tension between the two characters.
12.01.2022 WA’s south-west forests are part of one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet and are recognised for their ability to capture and store carbon. They are vital to slowing run-away climate change yet instead of preserving them we are cutting them down at an alarming rate for charcoal, firewood and woodchips. Forests play a crucial role in the water cycle but the streams that once bubbled through these ecological communities are drying up and the critical habitat they pro...vide for endangered species is shrinking. 'Cry of the Forests' takes viewers to the heart of the forests to see first-hand the beauty of these towering ecosystems and the life they support. We meet the activists armed with go-pros and dressed in camouflage gear risking their lives to bear witness to the logging and we meet traditional custodians, tourist operators & farmers on the frontline of the battle to protect our forests. This film seeks to change perceptions about native forests and their true value. See more
12.01.2022 Having previously wined, dined and bantered their way through the north of England, Italy, and Spain, 'The Trip to Greece' finds Coogan and Brydon, in character as lightly fictionalised versions of themselves, off on another edifying Grand Tour under the guise of writing restaurant reviews for The Observer. This time their trip is the homewards route taken by Odysseus after the Trojan War. Equipped with Panama hats, a hybrid Range Rover, and a suite of cultural references that run the gamut from Aristotle to Barry Gibb, the British comedy scene stalwarts are bound for Ithaca, via Lesbos, Pilos, Athens, and Hydra. Join them on the journey tomorrow!
10.01.2022 Our next film 'Savages is about main character Danny’s search for belonging and connection, and explores the notion of family. As he grows from a boy in a notorious boy's home to rebellious teen and then violent gang member, Danny is torn between his real family and his gang family, and must choose where he belongs.
