18.01.2022 Youth Performance Holiday Program: With the success of our recent strength and conditioning programs, we are running 3 youth training programs each dedicated to youth athletic development. If you want your child to excel, you need to get them started in training at an early age. DM for more information on program description for each age. Go to link in below to register:... https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KSVFFDW

17.01.2022 Your strength and conditioning program is only as good as the performance you get out of the athletes. No program is a one size fits all, no matter how good the program is. Combat sports athletes at 20 are not the same athlete at 25, 35 or even 40. Your body is not the same playing NRL in your early-mid 20s than playing NRL or elite rugby in your late 20s. In saying that, adapting the athlete throughout the career, recognising wear and tear, recognition of the weaknesses t...hat were once their strengths, and rebuilding other aspects they possess such as strength/power to counterbalance such attributes as loss of speed, is essential in the evolution of an athlete. Combat athletes change their styles throughout their careers, (ie. kick less, become more grounded and move around less etc.), as do footballers, at times playing different positions in their later years than they did when they were younger and not suffered the wear and tear on their bodies through performing week in week out at an elite level. In saying that there is nothing stopping an athletes being the best version of themselves in their later years. This can turn a 3-5 year career into a 10-15 year career with a functional body into retirement. Identify. Recognise. Adapt.

17.01.2022 'He was crazy! And he would make me think he was crazy. We would be driving along in the car and he would start talking to himself. 'Im the baddest! Im the gr...eatest! Im a baaad man!' I was thinking, 'Damn! Is this what boxing does to you?' But I learned that he kept doing that because that was how he motivated himself. When he was getting ready to fight George Foreman, he would be talking to himself constantly: 'Im gonna kill him! Im gonna murder him! Im going to do this. Im going to do that.' Ali was a good guy. I never once saw him get scared. Even when he fought me, when he was 38, he wasnt scared. He was talking to me all through the fight, telling me what he was going to do, trying to make me mad. But I knew him too well to fall for any of that stuff. He was the guy that gave me a job. He was the guy that taught me how to fight. He helped me understand how to do things to an opponent to make them mad. I learned all of that from being with him all those years. Can you imagine what it was like for me, aged 20-21, to be working with The Greatest? All of a sudden, you ask him if he will come to your local school and meet the kids, and he does just to make you feel good. He did that for me, he came to my town, and he lifted me way off the ground because of that. He made me feel 10ft tall. The guy was great. He made everyone feel better about themselves. He made you believe you could do anything you ever wanted to do. And he was my friend. He had charisma. He was beautiful and charming. Listen, even after I beat him in our fight in 1980, I went into his dressing room afterwards and he was lying on the bed having a rub-down because he was so sore. And I said, 'Ali, you know I love you. Youve always been my man.' And he said, 'If you loved me, why did you beat me up?' But he never held a grudge, even to the day he died. Even when he was sick, whenever I would see him he would fool around and say, 'I want Holmes! Get me Holmes!' - Larry Holmes

15.01.2022 Few things hurt athletes more than uncommitted talent. Commitment and effort have been my prerequisites to whom I invest my time in. This kid isnt one of them. One of the few who are committed, driven and is looking to make his pro debut once we kick off again soon. Remember him @nocaplual The entertainment with a punch.

13.01.2022 Getting that perfect preparation. Fatigue makes cowards of us all.' When you're tired, you make mistakes, you don't do what's right, and your will to win all of a sudden, starts to waver just a little bit. You get tired and all of a sudden you don't have that same fight.

12.01.2022 43% of boys are raised by single mothers 78% of teachers are female So almost 50% of boys have 100%feminine influence while at home & an 8/10ish chance of 100% influence at school. Toxic masculinity isn't the problem. Lack of masculinity is. Be there for your kids before its late.

07.01.2022 Massive congratulations to the team last night. Thank you for @hishamshamrock for having us on a great @kingsofkombat show. Super proud of everyone involved. Massive thank you to @coachhemz for putting up with my mood swings and @syphersdavid backbones of the team. And @_capturedbyash and @remzysmallz appreciate you guys so much. Thank you to our team manger Justin Kennedy for all you do for the team and our family ... @abii_marcial97 after 4 years away being away from the sport being a mum, faced a very tough opponent away from home with a 6 rounder off the bat. Congrats her Carly, Chayo will be back stronger, two divisions lower in July. Super proud. YOU WILL BE CHAMPION!! @chosenonelual going 2-0, and up 2 weight classes against an undefeated opponent put on a boxing clinic winning every round. Big things brewing. @elijahsalesui_final_suf super proud. I need a seperate post for everything this kid has accomplished in the last 8 months, I don’t know where to start now. So proud. @salesui_sniper_suf was lovely to see him back. @suf_boxing has done a great job getting back in the ring on such short notice. God bless. Opportunities pop up for everybody all of the time. It's the way that we progress. It's whether or not you're in the right frame of mind or in the right stage of your life or if you're even looking for them that determines whether or not you see them. As you take more risks you see opportunities more easily. Risks are never the safe option, but for me the safe option is the worst option. The riskiest life I can think of is letting yourself to be molded into this comfortable, same-as-everybody-else routine. For me, that is risking my whole life. @ Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

05.01.2022 When fishermen cant go to sea, they mend their nets. This quote reaffirms that theres always something you can be doing. There are plenty of tasks related, and essential, to the success of your main goals. This quote also serves to keep forward momentum, which in turn can ensure you hit the ground running when competition (fishing) is once again possible.... Heres a quick run-down of a list of 10 things to do when there is currently no competition in no particular order - Learn New Skill Set. - Sharpen Current Skill Set. - Develop Top End Strength & Power. - Build Your Aerobic Base. - Bond & Help Your Team Mates. - Make New Friends. - Fall In Love With The Sport. - Keep Yourself On A Schedule. - Learn & Reaffirm Discipline. - Be Ready For Anything.

05.01.2022 One of the biggest mistakes young athletes make is that they let one play linger on too long in their minds, and it affects their play. We have to be able to mo...ve on to the next play. The next play is always the most important play, and if you aren't able to move on to the next play, your game suffers and it hurts your team. Don't let the last play affect you longer than it should. It could be a good play or a bad play. Athletes have to be able to move on to the next play. Nobody really cares about what happened. They need to care about what is happening. Each new play is a new opportunity to do something special. Don't let the past keep you from doing something special now. Here are 6 questions that you can ask yourself (or your athlete) to help them stay present and in the moment: 1 - What am I doing right now? 2 - What am I supposed to be doing right now? 3 - What is my job? 4 - What is the most important thing to do right now? 5 - Where do I need to be right now? 6 - What does my team need me to do right now? https://acoachsdiary.blogspot.com//make-your-next-play-you

05.01.2022 Isometrics + Energy Transfer Block. The goal is to build upon the previous structural 2 week block, building and priming for the explosive work required for @timsimona in his position heading into the remaining parts of the season. Lots of structural and injury proofing exercises ensure he isnt fatigued and pushing himself through any injuries after a physical season.

04.01.2022 Good sparring in Canberra. Thanks so much to @stockade_training_centre and @flamesfitness2602 for having us. Good hard rounds for @elijahsalesui_suf and @nocaplual All the best for all the guys fight prepping.

02.01.2022 Theres a theory called the five chimps theory shared by Naval Ravikant, Silicon Valley tycoon, in his book Tools of Titans: In zoology, you can predict the mood and behaviour patterns of any chimp by which five chimps they hang out with the most. Who we know and what we do that influences more than any other factor, who we will become. ... Because what you do puts you around people, and the people youre around affects what you do. Think about your friends and colleagues: do they inspire you, validate you, or drag you down? Choose your five chimps carefully.

02.01.2022 Most these guys have either played their grand final or playing this weekend. Super proud of what they have accomplished in a muddled up year. Lovely to see their faces in team photos thrashing their opponents every week. Hard work and commitment. Reap what you sow.

01.01.2022 9 hard rounds for Wade Ryan in bad heat. Looking sharp for his 5th December fight. @tysturner and @nocaplual in the ring January 26th
