25.01.2022 Well, you're free to do what you want with your own money, of course, but we just can't go past @therealsuzeorman for straight talking money wisdom.

25.01.2022 TOUCHING: A beautiful mural has been painted in Melbourne’s south-east in tribute to our healthcare workers. The piece features a frontline medic holding up the... earth while kneeling on the coronavirus. COVID-19 updates: http://9Soci.al/wVLO50ziABK #9News
25.01.2022 Now is a Great Time for Nurses to build up savings (who wouldn't want to do that!):

22.01.2022 THE HOMEBUYING PROCESS Here we try to answer two frequent questions: 1. How do I go about this?... 2. Where do I start?
22.01.2022 Hey Nurses: You know better than anyone else we are "interesting times". I'm pleased to see many in the public starting to get that you do incredible work (virus and always) I have been talking with plenty of potential home buyers in the last two weeks, holding back because of the economic uncertainty. I am not saying the property market is all easy $$ and champagne. It NEVER is. (damn). However many have expressed concern about rising unemployment on property prices.... Historically, it shows very little influence. Here is a post on another FB page I run: See more
22.01.2022 These guys are friends of mine with a great bar/restaurant in Coogee, Sydney. Most of you on this page are Victorian based but please share with any of your nursing friends in Sydney.
20.01.2022 If getting started with homeownership feels like this, then jump into our closed Group, exclusive to Nurses (see comment for link).
19.01.2022 And no more so in the world of finance. If you haven't reviewed your home loan recently then chances are you're missing out. Banks are constantly trying to innovate their products and compete for market share - so the home loan you originally signed on for isn't necessarily the ideal one for you today.... Talk to us about how we can negotiate you a better outcome. See more
17.01.2022 We really are isolated from it here. So many frontline workers around the world putting themselves at huge risk in call of duty and many paying the ultimate price. Tragic
17.01.2022 This week Cate Bakos and I "met" again to discuss the current property environment. Cate is a real property expert and offers some great insights here.
16.01.2022 Does this resonate with anyone else?
14.01.2022 CREDIT CARD impact on Your Mortgage Application. Banks allow high credit limits on cards. Even if you never use it, it could really compromise your mortgage borrowing ability:
14.01.2022 We are all for regular exercise, but remember to get off the treadmill both the literal and figurative ones occasionally.
14.01.2022 If we could give just one piece of advice, it's to start the process early. Imagine getting to crunch time and missing out on your dream property because your finance isn't sorted, or having to go with your third choice of lender purely because they're the only ones who'll approve you in time. It happens! Getting in touch with us sooner, rather than later, also means we can help you create the best impression with the lender - this preparation will ideally start months before you apply. Send us a DM to get started.
13.01.2022 How to Make An Offer in this Market Some great advice here from an expert on how to go about the process when a property is being sold outside the auction process. Thank You Cate from Cate Bakos Property

13.01.2022 very remiss of me - Just in time. Hope you all got the recognition you deserve today. Amazing work you all do.
13.01.2022 Excited to announce that I’ll be a guest on Your Mortgage with Cate Bakos on PropertyTV.io tonight! Check it out LIVE from 7pm AEDT or catch up any time after the show's broadcast at... https://propertytv.io/news/v/1257
13.01.2022 Interest rates are important, no doubt. But in the wise words of Warren Buffet, price is what you pay, value is what you get. Focusing solely on getting 'the lowest interest rate' may sometimes mean you miss out on other useful features. Also worth bearing in mind that not everyone will qualify for all loan products.... It's about balancing all your needs, now and into the future. Get in touch to find out how we'd help you choose a home loan. See more

13.01.2022 Save for HOME DEPOSIT or pay down your DEBTS? we are covering this topic in the FB Group this week. Click pinned post to join.
13.01.2022 If you took a 'home loan holiday' then your lender has probably already been in touch to discuss next steps. If you're considering pressing pause on your home loan repayments, keep in mind that interest will continue being accrued. So it's really an option of last resort. Get in touch if you're struggling with staying on top of your home loan and want to discuss your options.
13.01.2022 Equity is the difference between the value of your property, and the size of your mortgage. It increases as you pay back your loan, and as property prices increase. And this is why buying makes so much more sense to us than renting: because your home loan repayments build your equity - not someone else's.

11.01.2022 Einstein asked if a cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered mind, then what does an empty desk signify? Sounds a bit like what someone with a messy desk would say, but we're running with it
11.01.2022 NEW GOV'T BUILDING GRANT Hey all - it's official. $25k additional for new builds or renovations over $150k. Only available until December. Time to ACT - think banks will allow as deposit contribution and additional to $10k/$20k FHOG. NOT just first home buyers. Will post up more detail later as I'm sure banks will put out guidance during the day.... Source: The Australian See more

08.01.2022 SAVE $11,464 on MORTAGE INSURANCE I will put some case studies up in next few days but over the last few weeks we have saved $11,464 on average for our nursing clients who have had only 5-8% deposit. Combined with a 3-year fixed rate on only 2.14% for Healthcare workers its been a winning combination :) Stay tuned and in the meantime reach out and happy to have quick chat on how it might work for you :)... https://www.domain.com.au//thousands-of-first-home-buyer/
08.01.2022 PROPERTY & FINANCE This week Cate from @catebakosproperty and I discussed new property inspection changes, who's buying, rate offers, and "so much more"...
06.01.2022 Buy now, pay later services are here to stay, and have well and truly disrupted traditional credit cards. If you pay on time - great, no interest! But these services actually want you to miss your repayments so they can hit you with late fees. The key here is making sure you don't over-extend yourself. If a new home loan is on the horizon for you, keep in mind some lenders will view your Afterpay account as a sign you're living above your means, which makes them less likely t...o want to lend you money. We've got a lot of insight into the closely guarded bank policies, that unfortunately we can't share here. Get in touch if you're applying for a loan and want help putting your best foot forward.
06.01.2022 To get yourself ready to apply for your first home loan, you might want to: Pare back your spending Show you're a good saver Rethink those credit cards... Pay your bills on time Cut out the UberEats, AfterPay and Sportsbet Lenders love it when you know where your money's going. It gives them confidence that you'll pay them back. Get in touch to get started! See more
06.01.2022 Apparently...the simple act of making your bed each day can be life changing The thinking is that this small, disciplined act can set off a chain reaction of other productive, proactive, Type-A behaviours. Are you a bed maker, or more of a ‘I’m only going to mess it up again tonight’ type?
06.01.2022 MORE $$ TO COME??? Just came out in the last 10 mins. No details yet - il post more details in https://www.facebook.com/groups/VicNursesHomeBuyersForum as they are released... https://www.afr.com//victoria-planning-its-own-home-stimul
06.01.2022 LOVE getting these results for Nurses. It's why we do what we do :)
05.01.2022 DON'T GIVE UP YOUR GOAL A few clients I'm working with at the moment are finding it hard to find their home to buy. Sometimes it's not easy but all who have done it will agree - It's worth it See the First comment below to join our Closed Group to help you achieve it.
05.01.2022 There's a lot to consider when choosing car finance. Here's what to look out for: Are you allowed to make extra payments Will you be charged for paying the loan off sooner What are the interest rates Can you choose the length of the loan... How long will it take to be approved Are there any application or account keeping fees Not all car finance is created equal, so you definitely want to do your due diligence.
04.01.2022 Did you know 'mortgage' is actually an old French word that translates to 'death pledge'. The good news is that in 2021, taking out a home loan doesn't have to be a life sentence. If you're in a position to make additional repayments, you could shave years off your loan and be debt-free sooner. Get in touch with us to review your loan.... Whether we renegotiate your interest rate with your lender, or find you a better option elsewhere - you could save thousands.
02.01.2022 DON'T LIE I'ts a fair warning and perhaps I am naive, but I think you would have to have a broker or bank to be on this to get it through. There are so many checks I don't know how anyone would get away with it... https://au.finance.yahoo.com//jail-for-lying-home-loan-app
