25.01.2022 Finantic has been in the making for some time. It was one year ago that Finantic came to be but before that was a build-up of experience, lots of studies and finally the ability to obtain my BAS Agent status. None of it could have prepared me for the year that was 2020, I have learnt so much! We all have this annoying habit sometimes of doubting ourselves but last year I learnt just how important my job is. I once heard the words "bookkeeping is so easy, a monkey could do i...t" I was extremely offended, but you know what? It's probably true! Only because Bookkeeping can so easily be done WRONG I made an impact in 2020, I helped businesses to understand or obtain coronavirus support packages such as jobkeeper. I have provided knowledge to help ease minds by explaining facts that quite often go astray. I have taken away an added pressure on business owners that they do not need. Most importantly I now know the little puzzle I play when doing my job is incredibly important because I have had to fix bookkeeping gone wrong. It's just the beginning and I am so excited about the growth that will be in 2021.

24.01.2022 Refueling for another great week ahead. I will often tell people we don't have much on this weekend, just a quiet one relaxing it sounds amazing while I am saying it but it never sticks! Our family can't quite sit still, we love getting out and about to show, teach, and let our girls try new things. This one wasn't new to the girls but it's always a bit of fun heading to the drive in.

22.01.2022 These two are my motivation in life, it is because of them that I am where I am today and continue to push myself. Christmas has always been a special time for me, surrounded by family and friends with lots of love and food! As I take some time off to create special memories with my family I hope you can do the same. Merry Christmas

16.01.2022 This morning I had the honour of enjoying a coffee with Gemma, an Associate Partner Lambourne Partners. The discussion further entrenched the importance each of our roles play on a business. While the work of a Bookkeeper and Accountant may overlap we each like to stick in our own lane. ... Bookkeeping is the first step in the Accounting process by keeping an accurate and complete record of the financial transactions within a business. Accountants will then build on that information by focusing in the bigger financial picture where they will analyse, summarise, interpret and report on this financial information. As an added bonus Lambourne Partners offer personal wealth services too! In short, Bookkeepers and Accountants are a united team working for the same goal... Client's success!

10.01.2022 As 2020 comes to an end we start to reminisce on the year that has been. It has been tough for many, but one thing is certain and that is that we all have the option to look up and move forward. As we move through life fast-paced I try to ask myself often if I am making small decisions now that will get me where I want to be later? After all, it's the little things that count! I fell into Bookkeeping what feels like a lifetime ago and I am so happy to be here. I have worked for people from the beginning and watched as they roar to success or appeared in the midst of it all and completed some serious recovery work. Whatever the scenario I have learnt not only how important Bookkeeping is for the success of a business but also the huge impact that accurate and up to date financials can be.

10.01.2022 Let’s get personal! Last night I unleashed, I started a conversation with friends about how hard it is being a working a mum. We each have hard working husbands and are incredibly proud of all they do for our family but being a working mum is taxing! I have forgotten what it is like just to wake up and only think about myself and where I need to be that day. With a husband that is out the door before we even wake I often grunt at how magical it must be to wake up, get yourse...lf ready and drive off in a peaceful car listening to whatever you want! I smashed out a huge amount of work today and I’m feeling really proud of myself! I also had coffee with friends while our kids played and as we said goodbye my youngest held my hand and said I love you Mummy... Later I arrived for school pick up for my eldest and she met me with a great big hug and the exact same words - I love you Mum Today I realised I am actually living my dream. I have worked myself into a position where I can be available for my girls when they need me and still commit to myself and this business. Finantic is almost booked to capacity and because of that I have found a new way to spread my knowledge (watch this space). I guess my point is, even when life is great or going your way it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s easy. Aiming, reaching, and keeping goals takes a lot of work. Just keep swimming

06.01.2022 Cash Flow Forecasting This is a breakdown of the money that is expected to come in and out of your business. This includes calculating your income and all of your expenses, which will give your business a clear idea on how much cash you will be left with over a specific period of time. This can be extremely useful at times like this when you stop over Easter for well earned time with your family.

02.01.2022 Double-entry bookkeeping meansthat every financial transaction will involve at least two accounts. This method gets its name because you enter all transactions twice. In double-entry bookkeeping, a transaction always affects at least two accounts, always includes at least one debit and one credit, and always requires that total debits and total credits be equal. This is to keep the accounting equation (assets = liabilities + equity) in balance. Double-entry bookkeeping is a ...practice that helps to minimise errors and increases the chances that your books balance. #doubleentrybookkeeping #balancedbooks #bookkeepingau #bookkeeping #bookkeeper #bookkeeperau #smallbusinessaustralia

02.01.2022 Bookkeeping and Accounting are often assumed to be the same profession. This is not the case! Both are extremely important for every business, especially when used together. Bookkeepers are responsible for the recording of financial transactions, Accountants are responsible for interpreting and analysing that financial data. A bookkeeper will be the person who assists you with the ongoing financial recording, transactions, compliance and lodgements that keep your business run...ning smoothly. Your accountant will be the person who analyses the data produced by your bookkeeper to minimise your taxation and make recommendations. Accountants have a strong understanding of tax law & requirements and will be best to assist in this area. Instead of perceiving a bookkeeper vs accountant situation, it is important to understand that your accountant and bookkeeper work best together to serve the financial requirements of your business. Finantic will focus on working closely with our client's accountant. #bookkeepingau #bookkeepingaustralia #bookkeeping #bookkeeper #bookkeeperau #bookkeeperaustralia #smallbusinessaustralia
