06.01.2022 Mortgage Market Update: Lenders continue to be overwhelmed with refinancing and new purchase applications as Service Levels extend past what can only be termed as unacceptable levels. One major bank this week has indicated that they will need 35 business days to prepare a discharge of mortgage (that's nearly 2 months) Lenders have even introduced queues for checking submissions before they even place a new application in the actual queue for assessment, no doubt causing great...er delays, and in what could be classed as counterproductive, removes staff from other customer service or credit assessment roles.
