21.01.2022 Meet Abel. The furry hermit crab. Abel is a tom cat off the streets who will need surgery for a painful condition called entropion. Entropion is where the eyelids become inflamed and roll inwards, causing the eyelashes to run painfully against the eyes. It can also lead to bad infections or even blindness. Most of the time it can be fixed with surgery on the eyelids, although in very severe cases, removal of the eyes is necessary to alleviate pain and suffering. We are hopefully that basic surgery will be adequate to resolve Abel's condition and this gentle boy can then go on to live a pampered life.
