22.01.2022 The role of the portrait photographer is not just to take high quality images but to capture the essence of the people in the imagery. This magic family created an amazing set of mixed images, which evoked the typical side to any family - The Proper, (didn't last long), the Funny, (plenty of those) and the spontaneous (over 100) in all different environments. Having your photographs taken in our rural setting allows everyone to relax and enjoy the moment. Why not book your session?
22.01.2022 and finally, I am trying to make an effort to follow through on a promise to myself to continue to provide tips throughout the year. So, to begin with my first for 2019. This image - taken this morning. Back lit at about 10.00am. There was a solid breeze so I selected a fairly high ISO for the available light, as I was both, hand holding and allowing for that breeze. Obviously the 5.6F stop I selected captured the main leaf, as desired and everything else fell away nicely. The high ISO allowed for a significant shutter speed to capture both wind movement and any I made by not having the camera stabilized. (Rooky mistake really but we all create "grab shots", so it is good to know how to work around it!) If you have an image that you would like to discuss - I welcome it.

19.01.2022 When I fail to share Facebook reminds me that I am not doing anything - when, in reality, it is actually the opposite. Prior to Christmas was hectic with many Gift Vouchers flying out the door and I look forward to these shoots. Apart from our amazing contract with Funfields we also found time for a few other special events and portraits. I am privileged to be able to share this very special Wedding.
