24.01.2022 We are near to celebrate 1 year since we started this awesome journey and business! To celebrate that a bit earlier we decided to list on our website our new native species. Can you recognise it by the distinctive leaf shape? It's a Davidson Plum! Davidson Plum is an australian native species originally from QLD and NSW. This plum tree can be found in the rainforest area and grows the fruit straight from the trunk. The fruits itself are generally tart, close in taste to a rhu...barb with a hint of sweetness, purple skin and bright red flesh. Our Davidson Plum have been sourced from one of our partners that has grow them from seed. These seedling have been grown from the fruits of a QLD variety imported and grown in VIC. This fact its really important as generally this species its considered not easy to grow in cooler climates. Davidson Plum trees prefer a semi-shade position in your garden/house. Generally better to grow them in the ground they can still be grown in large pots. Our trees are 2 years old and will come in a 20cm pots. Davidson Plum seedlings are now available on our website at a discounted price for the first 15 customers! Keep growing your australian native garden with us!

18.01.2022 Can you recognise this citrus by the leaf shape and the huge thornes? Well its not always easy as the leaves shape reminds a Kaffir Lime and Grapefruit mixed up. The citrus in picture its a Yuzu! Yuzu its one of the most chased and appreciated citrus in the world. Famous for its incredible aroma and unique flavour notes its a game changer in any dish or cocktail. Originally from China it reached Japan just before the beginning of the Nara period (1300a.c). Yuzu its a Hybrid g...enerated between a chinese citrus called Ichang Papeda and a Sour Mandarin. Its been cultivated in West Japan for centuries as medicine before been discovered as a gourmet ingredient. This incredible interesting fruit has lots of beneficial properties including antioxidant, anticancer, protecting brain from diseases, anti-aging etc.. Who wants to grow some Yuzu?

15.01.2022 Our Native River Mint has started flowering a bit late this year. You probably heard us talking about this absolutly amazing native bush herb many times, but we can't say enough about it! Native River Mint grows almost everywhere in Australia near rivers, lakes or anything wet and cool. Use it as it is, as a spice, grounded, in desserts or in a new version of an all aussie mojito! Find them on our website!

08.01.2022 Did you know that Finger Limes change colour, even in the same variety, depending on weather condition, temperature, nutrients etc? In this picture you can see a Red Champagne fruit from our trees that has matured, but didn't develop the colour "Red Champagne". These pearls were of a nice bubbly pink, but still nice and tasty. Have you grown any fruits this year and look bit different?

03.01.2022 Few weeks ago we were wondering around the bush around North Regional Victoria and found many trees covered in Pink Berries. One closer look and we saw some beautiful Pink Peppercorn berries in thousands on each tree. This species its nowdays considered almost native by the people living close to the trees we found, but its not. Pink Peppercorn its a species related to the Cashew family that has a milder peppery taste. Originally from the South-American Andes can be found in ...Chile, Perù, Bolivia and Argentina. The first trees arrived in Sydney during the commercial booming of the 1800 and then grown mostly in SA/VIC. Its considered an invasive species that can be highly dangerous for poultry, calves, pigs and Childrens. Saying all that above these berries are an awesome ingredient specially when wondering around the nature. Peppercorn can be harvested as well as the leaves and used in dishes, cocktails, tea, grounded or as decoration. Have you seen any around where you live?
