10.01.2022 Over the last few months, our Retail VET class have had some amazing opportunities to connect with professionals in the retail and beauty industries. First up, ...they enjoyed hairdressing classes with Hayley our wonderful Trainer. Then students were lucky to have custom make-up lessons with the wonderful Meggan from Finishing Touches Makeup and Beauty. She visited the NGC on-site salon to give the students all her top tips, complete with practical demonstrations. As a local Central Coast business owner, Meggan exemplifies the kind of entrepreneurial spirit that we're proud to foster at NG Central and it was clear that the girls took a lot away from her visit. And the fun didn't stop there! The class also had an excursion to MECCA for a eye make-up tutorial. This gave our students a personal insight into how a retail store operates...and took their salon skills to a whole new level! A big thanks to Hayley, Meggan and the team at Mecca for their time and insight - seeing industry professionals in action makes vocational education and training even more relevant to our students.
