23.01.2022 I saw this teapot on the top shelf, in the shop. I was shopping for Christmas presents at the time for others, not even for myself. I didn't notice her at first, but I heard her whispering to me "Look up, I'm over here".... My gaze softly landed on her, and my heart skipped a beat. I had to have her. I asked the shop assistant to get her down from her tower. She was the only one left in the store and she had patiently waited for me to take her home. So she climbed the ladder and brought her down to me, so I could take her home. I have always wanted a cast iron tea pot, heavy to hold in your hand, it keeps your tea warmer for just a little while longer so you can enjoy your second cup without reheating the kettle. I love the ceremony and ritual of drinking tea. When I went to Japan in 1988, I had the pleasure of participating in a traditional tea ceremony, it was my first experience of tea being used in ceremony. I found it fascinating and a beautiful experience. When I went to the UK for a working holiday in 1997, tea was the tonic and the cure for just about everything! I learnt, almost anything could be solved with a pot of hot tea It got me thinking about the ritual of tea drinking. I love the whole process of brewing the tea pot and smelling the fragrant aromours of your tea of choice for the moment. I can't believe it has taken me so long to take her down from her new resting place and actually use her! I have to go and buy myself an oversized tea cup to go with her now as a coffee cup just doesn't do this tea ceremony justice. And there is something about drinking brewed tea from a real tea cup. I hope to include a tea ceremony (with a twist) in my women's retreats. Tea drinking is an art form in itself. I love it so much (almost enough to give up coffee ) Do you drink tea? 07.01.2022 Keeping the vibe high is challenging some days. I call these days #perspectivedays A bit like a rubber band, some days I feel like I'm at full stretch, touching my edges, getting comfortable with my uncomfortable, getting ready to launch into the next level ME!... I do my best to align my vibe, rest, share with people who understand and can laugh with me about feeling blah! I know "This too shall pass" a favourite mantra of mine that I sing over and over again. Some days I mix it up with, "I am the eye of the storm .... This too shall pass", and as the fair winds blow, we bid you good luck as we sail out into the unknown aboard this rickety boat, on the sea of life. I repeat, "This too shall pass, I am the eye of the storm, this too shall pass, I am the eye of the storm". I then sit in complete surrender and release what no longer serves me in this moment. And I know that tomorrow is a new dawn, of a new day, and it will be imperfectly perfect just as I see myself and I give myself permission to shine just a little bit brighter, feel just a little bit deeper, love mySELF a little more intimately. The energy at the moment is shifting, it's necessary, it's shaking us to our very core, but hang in there, reach out to someone you love, hold fast and ride out the storm. This too shall pass, and tomorrow will be a brighter day. Feeling Freedom in body, mind and soul is my life's path and my life's work. Harmony, feeling all the feels, giving each of our emotions a seat at the table, space to be seen, to be witnessed, to be heard and to be healed, is everything to me. 04.01.2022 Finally my "Wisdom Tree" is home This beautiful piece of art has found it's way to our place. I said Yes, without hesitation, when asked if I would like to take her home with me. She's crafted out of Salmon Gum, from a fallen tree. Her patterns are so intricate, they draw you in for a closer look and from this space you can hear the silent whispers of her wisdom floating past your ears. Branches spread wide, like a "Y" from a yes. She encourages you to go within and say "...yes" to yourself more. To be still, to be silent, to find the space within the cracks of her weathered trunk, to expand your energy, to grow within yourself. Reach for the sky and say Yes! Yes! Yes! To yourself, just for today, say Yes. My dad (who is an ex-farmer) asked me if I paid for the tree? Or did I get paid to take it away? He said he used to burn "dead wood" on the farm "Just like this!" I smiled at him and explained that he may never understand the significance of this beautiful piece of art, but I know that he always tries to look at things from my point-of-view. I explained, it's about changing you mind by chancing your perspective, to see, not with your eyes, but with your heart. To dwell a little longer in the space between. To plant seeds within our soul for the new to take root in our subconscious mind. Being in this place takes courage, commitment, time and space. So much space. Spaciousness is where I invite you to explore what's next for you. Sometimes running away from our big shifts gets exhausting.
