This region has been a dust bowl with ...persistent sand storms and most pastoralists had been forced into de-stocking. The landscapes native flora and fauna were parched. Forgive our excitement, this is a rejuvenating change.

07.01.2022 Here's a fact about South Australia you may not know. We are home to the world's single greatest fossil record of the Ediacaran Period, a period of time 635 to ...541 million years ago. They represent the earliest evidence of complex life on Earth, and lie within the Flinders Ranges. Last year we signed an historic agreement to protect the fossils at Nilpena Station and expand the Ediacara Conservation Park. We are now in the process of master planning for a visitor precinct and fossil site, and currently renovating infrastructure in the area. We want to open-up this unique and fascinating part of our state to tourists, school groups and community groups.
