18.01.2022 With winter approaching and the rains set in, well all be using our clothes dryers more frequently. This is a timely reminder on how to prevent a clothes dryer fire . Clean the filter, ensure adequate air flow around the dryer, dont leave the dryer operating when you are not home.

18.01.2022 Crews from Fire and Rescue Finley and Tocumwal supported by Finley Rural Fire Brigade responded to a house fire in Coree St, Finley. The house was fully involved when crews arrived and a defensive attack commenced to suppress and contain the fire to the premises. It took crews 3 hours to completely extinguish. Unfortunately the house was unable to be saved, thankfully there were no occupants inside. During mopping up operations a cat was discovered under the floor at the rear of the premises who somehow miraculously survived the fire.
