17.01.2022 I’m hearing the same thing from all of my clients every, single, day! My hands feel so dry from all the hand sanitiser I’m using! Girls, I hear you! Hand sanitiser is basically 100% Isopropyl Alcohol, and that stuff sucks every last drop of moisture out of your skin and nails! Us nail techs use it to wipe your nails to prep them for polish, because it removes all surface oils so your polish lasts. ... But I get it. Even though I’ve always used hand sanitiser I’m definitely using it several times a day now! (And always between clients) When you are stripping the skin of its natural oils, you need to replace it. If you have space in your handbag or on your desk for a little hand sanitiser, you most certainly have space for some cuticle oil too! Now let’s talk about the skin!! The largest organ on the human body (yep, it’s the truth!) Unlike showering our whole bodies, we wash our hands several times a day. Every time you wash your hands with soap, and hand sanitiser, you are stripping the natural oils from the skin!!! So if you want to keep your hands hydrated and looking youthful, carry a little hand cream in your purse or keep it on your office desk.
