25.01.2022 Quite a production line of birthday invitations....

25.01.2022 This is a wonderful group who are crafting Christmas decorations for those who have lost their homes and possessions in the recent bushfires. When Christmas comes around they will be able to decorate knowing that the decorations are made with compassion and love. #remakechristmas

25.01.2022 Instead of throwing two pillow cases out, they have been turned into 3 Night Time Hanging Bags for little wallabies and kangaroos in recovery. Thanks for the donation Donna.

25.01.2022 I will be watching this tonight whilst stuffing joey pouch snuggle toys made from fabric scraps. #KoalaRescue Tonight 7.00 on Channel 7

23.01.2022 What's in the box? I will reveal once the two special people receive their gifts tomorrow. I hope they like them! ***UPDATE*** See comments for the reveal!

22.01.2022 Welcome to my craft room. This page is to share my craft items. Please enjoy!!! Occasionally I will be selling items to raise money for the Animal Rescue Cooperative.

22.01.2022 Thought this would raise a giggle

22.01.2022 Last batch of donations, for the year, to be sent to the animal rescue hub in Sale. This lot includes - wallaby day and night hanging bags, joey pouches and snuggle toys.

22.01.2022 Reversible shopping bags - sent to wildlife carer for fundraising sale.

22.01.2022 35,000 koalas perished. The estimated total population was just over 300,000. #KoalaRescue Tonight 7.00 on Channel 7

19.01.2022 Quilt for baby Aria. I've had this fabric for a long time, waiting to sew something special.

18.01.2022 Due to Covid 19 restrictions I had to wait until I could travel 25kms to deliver this quilt to the cute baby Max. I added a little present for the new big sister Ruby as well.

17.01.2022 Material from 1 pillowcase, 1 amateur theatre costume and leftover flannelette from students learning English has now become two lined wildlife pouches. The injured koala and kangaroo joey's say thank you, for all the fabric donations!!!!

17.01.2022 Thinking of throwing out your old doona cover........Send it my way instead, and I will turn it into items for Animal rescues. Here is one doona cover headed for landfill, that became 9 wallaby joey, hanging, day bags. The injured joeys have somewhere to settle with the warmth from the flannelette linings. They can also get in and out as they please. Will be sending these off to "Animal Rescue Craft Guild" on Monday.

16.01.2022 Quilt for Baby Harvey. My first attempt at a quilt and Harvey loves it, which is what counts the most.

14.01.2022 Sewers are notorious for never throwing away fabric, no matter how small it is. This cute Koala was made with a piece of beautiful fabric left over from a dress I made my daughter 25 years ago when she was just 5yrs old....She turned 30 this year. I love having this Koala watch me as I sew and craft...

13.01.2022 Finally received my flannelette fabric from Spotlight so I can continue sewing for the ARCG. The flannelette is used for the inside liners and the outside fabrics will be from my donated cotton fabrics. All the fabric has now been hot soaked for shrinkage and colour setting, and, this week I will be making Wallaby/Kangaroo Hanging Day and Night Bags. How many do you think I can make from Monday 30/3 to Sunday 5/4?

11.01.2022 Using my fabric scraps to try out a sample quilt block. This one is called "Card Trick" I'm going to use this design (in a smaller scale) for my next baby quilt.

09.01.2022 Quilt for Baby Ruby. I added bamboo wadding in between the layers for extra comfort. My favourite quilt so far !!!

09.01.2022 After cutting out patterns for hanging, wallaby, day bags, I used some of the scraps to make these snuggle toys. Measuring from 10cm -15cm, they go inside the fabric pouches for koala and kangaroo joeys to snuggle.

08.01.2022 Hanging bags are used for little wallabies and kangaroos. The day bags have an open front so they can get in and out easily. They can then, sunggle down into the night bags for sweet dreams!! Donated to The Animal Rescue Craft Guild.

07.01.2022 Thank you to all my friends for donating fabric so I could make wildlife pouches for the Animal Rescue Cooperative Craft Guild. If you want to donate to the Animal Rescue Cooperative (ARC), please use the donate link. 100% volunteer run. No one in the ARC is paid and all funds are distributed straight to the people on the ground, helping sick and injured animals (due to fire, drought, etc), and their carers.... If you're crafty, please check out the Animal Rescue Cooperative Craft Guild (ARCCG).

04.01.2022 Some more gift cards. I added some cute, hand made tassels,

02.01.2022 Baby gift tag using paper embroidery. I brought two books to learn paper embroidery. They were both by the same author, however one was written in Dutch. Thank goodness for the internet - I am able to translate the instructions to English. This card was made to go with the quilt I made for baby Aria.
