25.01.2022 Spent some time recently working out what I want from life and from my career and why. 3 things became very clear and kept popping up in each aspect. HELPING PEOPLE - I think this is innate. Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved helping people, from just helping smaller kids in the playground. Making sure bullies were put in their place and people were protected.... These days it’s become more mentoring colleagues, babysitting for friends so they can get some time alone as a couple and helping friends and family in need. I think that’s what led me to affiliate marketing. I enjoy helping people solve problems and reach their potential. It feels GOOD! Commissions are great but being helpful and being thanked for it really is worthwhile. Every time someone thanks me I feel good about myself and realise I’m moving from GROWTH to CONTRIBUTION. Freedom - I’m 38 and never got a mortgage, I imagine you’re thinking she’s not done very well, she can’t be good with money!! In fact it’s the opposite! I have and I am. I just love my freedom, I’d love a house and have the deposit but where would I lay roots when I love the idea of never putting any down. I moved from London to Sydney and who knows where I’ll live next. Travel to me is the best way to grow as an individual and being able to work remotely from wherever I want is key for me now. When I get approached about contracting or roles, that’s the first question I have now. Fortunately enough affiliate marketing allows me to do that and the start ups approaching me for consulting are set up with people all around the globe. INTEGRITY - This is another trait that is a non-negotiable for me. I cannot work for or promote something or someone I don’t whole-heartedly support. I believe in doing the right thing and in the past I’ve chosen to leave great jobs because I didn’t agree with the culture, I didn’t approve of the actions of some of the directors etc. You cannot live with your morals at home but not in your career. Your morals and beliefs are what make you YOU. Plus I’m very outspoken and make it so damn obvious when I disagree with how companies treat their people, customer or environment so I’m sure I would dig my own grave anyway. So I suppose I’ve been thinking about this in order to have a clear mission in my head. Not a 20 page Jerry Maguire style mission statement, just a few words to sum up what I want out of this and I’d say it’s... TO HELP PEOPLE ACHIEVE THEIR POTENTIAL. TO SO SO WITH INTEGRITY AND THE FREEDOM I DESIRE. Simple and to the point! I’d love to hear yours so please share and we can create more of a community here!

07.01.2022 Set up your business online so it works and brings in commissions while you enjoy life!

06.01.2022 In the last 6 months things have changed a lot for me. Career: 1 became 3 I’ve gone from 1 well paid high job to 3 jobs and put together I’m still not earning as much as I was before but I’m more passionate about what I’m working on now and I am confident in time I’ll be earning much more than I was before.... Friends: 4 became 99% I used to be a social butterfly hanging out with lots of different friends, drinks, parties and up for everything. Covid restrictions forced that to change but has made me realise that a few GOOD friends are worth a million party friends. I now spend my time with the people that bring me joy and support me. Education: 0-100% I went from not learning at all to business training courses, mindset training, communities and reading. I used to scroll through photos on facebook now I’m constantly learning from all the groups and peers I’ve found on here! Lifestyle: 50-100% Switching expensive lunches, drinks and dinners for the great outdoors has reminded me that nature is free and infinitely better for my mental health. A swim in the sea vs a hangover in bed, it’s a no brainer although once in a while a night out is still good. Relationships: 2 became 1 I split with my partner durimg covid which has been difficult but allowed me to concentrate on what i want. This 6 months has been HARD but the changes have been for the BETTER. You can make good from a bad situation, have you? Share below your 6 month growth
