25.01.2022 Do you have breakfast foods, lunch foods and dinner foods? Most people put foods into particular catalogues to be eaten at certain times of the day. This is my lunch of leftovers from dinner, but it could just as easily be my breakfast. Food is just food. Pro tip: put your leftovers in a nice bowl and they suddenly look more appetising!

There are a lot of buzz words out there that make us feel like we ...are making healthy choices, when in reality, we are picking the more processed option. Fruits and vegetables are one of those products that's found all over the grocery store: in the produce section, flash-frozen in the freezer section, or packaged in cans or plastic. How can we know we are choosing the most nutrient-dense option? Here are a few things to keep in mind: Local options are always best and local, in-season options are even better. Farmers Markets and CSA boxes are great resources! Avoid aluminum or plastic packaging. Looking for a more convenient option? Go for frozen! When picking fresh fruits and veggies, keep in mind the dirty dozen and clean fifteen. Fruits and vegetables can be high in pesticides, so try to pick organic options when possible. Pick a variety of colors when shopping for fruits and vegetables for a variety of nutrients.
