25.01.2022 We're in Port Macquarie today, in property protection mode with a fire burning in the Lake Innes area.

24.01.2022 Some of the local trucks on a strike team currently deployed to the south coast. Current crews have been working hard since last Sunday, and will most likely have another busy day tomorrow as fire weather conditions are expected to deteriorate. Relief crews have been arranged and are due to be flown south by the Army or Navy, allowing the current crews to return home for some much needed rest and recuperation.

23.01.2022 Its impressive what firefighters do.

22.01.2022 TOTAL FIRE BAN tomorrow, Thursday 17th October.

Half of the 1500m long train left the tracks in the early hours of this morning. One of the locomotives is in a paddock and 16 carriages have jack-knifed, four of which are in floodwater. The driver and co-driver of the train were safely removed and assessed by NSW Ambulance. 21.01.2022 STRIKE TEAM ECHO: Yesterday was a tough day. We rode-along with Strike Team Echo and captured the essence of the diverse and challenging role a firefighter has,... from saving a house and petrol station to letting a young local resident hold the hose as they blackout the hotspots. 20.01.2022 Total fire ban on the Coffs Coast today. Please don't ruin the long weekend for you and us.

20.01.2022 Yesterday morning another Strike Team from the Mid North Coast arrived in Eden to re-commence firefighting operations at the Eden wood chip mill. The Strike Team is the 3rd rotation of FRNSW crews to attend the area. The Strike Teams are made up of four 4x4 tankers, crewed with 4 firefighters, and lead by a Strike Team Leader. This incident will be a protracted one, and could well last several months. FRNSW has the resources and capability to rotate crews into the area withou...t depleating local firefighting, Hazmat and rescue capabilities. Well done to all involved from station level to the Zone office in Port Macquarie..

19.01.2022 Our hearts are heavy today as 2 colleagues from our sister-service have died on duty.

19.01.2022 Irene & Darryl are making an incredible recovery following the very unfortunate accident in early November. Your Coffs colleagues are looking forward to seeing you both back on the trucks.

19.01.2022 Keep an eye out for one of the new Klubb Aerial Pumpers around Coffs Harbour. The current AP has just about reached the end of its service life, so the replacement will be welcomed by the crew and community alike.

18.01.2022 The 40km/h rule has changed. We will make every endeavour to make your trip as hassle-free as possible, whilst protecting our crews and other workers.

18.01.2022 Take a minute to listen to the great work undertaken by our crews on the south coast.

17.01.2022 **A message from our Commissioner, Paul Baxter** My prime intent as Fire and Rescue NSW Commissioner is the safety of the community and of all our firefighters ...and staff. Its so pleasing to see this team return safely to their loved ones after this tour. Through training, understanding their procedures and using them every time makes that happen. 08.01.2022 Our colleagues from Wyoming Fire Station (Fire & Rescue NSW) being involved in an over-run at the fires on the NSW South Coast. Prepared for anything. Putting it on the line for the community.

08.01.2022 COVID - 19 UPDATE There are a few changes that have taken place with the way Fire and Rescue NSW operates that you notice. We hope you understand and can help u...s through the next few weeks. Some if the changes include: We are cancelling all non essential community engagements so we won't be able to visit your school or childcare centre to pass on fire safety messages for a while. If you visit a fire station for any non life threatening issues we are not going to be able to let you in. You may notice fire trucks at emergencies with fire fighters sitting inside. We are minimising the amount of fire fighters contact with the community. If you see us sitting in our fire trucks and not getting out this is not us being rude. Feel free to give us a way from a distance we'll still wave back. We wont be able to show your kids our fire truck and let them sit in it for a while. And unfortunatly we won't be able to shake you hands for a while. Behind the scenes we are doing a lot of hard work to continously decontaminate our trucks, uniforms and fire stations to ensure us and our community are protected. Thanks for the support we could not do this without everyones support. #covid-19

07.01.2022 A timely reminder, at that time of year when the tree and decorations are being put up, that power points shouldn't be overloaded, and if any lights or cords are damaged, discard them.

06.01.2022 At 6.57 PM tonight, Coffs Harbour Fire Brigade was called out to Bucca Road to attend a single vehicle accident. When we arrived, police and ambulance were in attendance, with ambulance officers attending to the sole occupant. FRNSW used hydraulic tools to remove a door from the car for better access to the patient. RFS and SES also attended the incident.

02.01.2022 Ever thoughtful of the impact these devastating bushfires leave our communities displaced and many without their lifelong belongings. Many are at further risk of the hazardous sites they call home. We are working with teams tasked to identify, isolate, remove hazardous materials their properties for their imminent return. #HazMat #FRNSW #preparedforanything #taskforce
