Cars into trees, cars into cars, cars into nature strips, cars through fences, cars doing 180’s, cars up gutters... ... 22.01.2022 Thank you to an attentive BBQ’er who noticed growing amounts of smoke coming from under their BBQ. Crews responded to Manly, where they found the BBQ framework alight. After dismantling the inbuilt BBQ, crews efficiently extinguished the fire. Thank you for calling us Megan! Things could of escalated qucikly!... 21.01.2022 Did you know at Manly we have two trucks? A standard Pumper and a Ladder Platform Truck? It reaches 27m high, giving firefighters access up to around level 5 in unit blocks, bulk water firefighting operations and animals stuck at heights and can be used as observation tower at large scale incidents. Part of our role is engaging with our community to be prepared for incidents that could occur within vulnerable buildings and spaces. We would absolutely hate to see anything happen to this iconic landmark so today we spent a couple hours familiarising ourselves with the building and all its unique structures. ... 13.01.2022 NSW Police are mourning the loss of one of their own. Senior Constable Kelly Foster, stationed in Lithgow, tragically lost her life yesterday whilst endeavourin...g to save a person in distress at Wollangambe Canyon at Mount Wilson. Both Kelly and the person she was trying to rescue did not survive. Our thoughts are with both families and Kelly’s colleagues during this sad time. See more



13.01.2022 At 8 pm this evening, 024 Manly Pump and Ladder Platform responded to a tree branch that was hanging precariously 10m above the footpath on Darley Road, Manly. The road was closed to traffic and pedestrians enabling Ladder Platform 024 to set up and render the area safe by removing the large branch.

11.01.2022 INCIDENT ALERT This morning Firefighters from Manly and Narrabeen have been really busy! Unfortunately amoungst other call outs, they responded to reports of a a Unit Fire in Freshwater. Residents were quick to evacuate and call 000 (Well Done!) Crews got there in record time, no one was home, they had to break the unit door, however efficiently extinguished the fire saving a lot of personal belongings..... THANK YOU to all the motorists who moved left or out of our way, you helped save someone's world! 09.01.2022 BREAKING | The old, disused Belrose Library (next door to Glenrose Shopping Centre) is on fire. Firefighters are on scene.

09.01.2022 INCIDENT ALERT Another busy day, and another night some Freshwater residents are without power. This evening Firefighters and Police attended this MVA, luckily no one was hurt, however it brought the power pole/lines down.... Firefighters used barrier tape to make an exclusion zone around the LIVE wires that can be extremely dangerous if within 8 meters and worked with Police to ensure the area was safe. 03.01.2022 Nothing like a flooding on the top floor! Thanks to our friends at Fire and Rescue NSW Station 001 City of Sydney and their Water Vacuum for helping reduce the damage! A broken water pipe burst on level 5 of the apartment block, it caused water to flood many apartments and common areas. We got rid of as much water as we could and got the unit all locked up ready for the occupant to return home to some damp carpet

02.01.2022 HAZARD REDUCTION Today we supported our friends National Parks and Wildlife at a hazard reduction at North Head. It’s been a big day with gusty winds making the conditions challenging.
