25.01.2022 Time and date of incident: 10:52am on Aug 27 2020 Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Sydney's West have finished mopping up at Flemington Markets, near Sydney Olympic Park, after a fire earlier today. A call to Triple Zero (000) shortly before 11am, reported a forklift had caught alight inside the marketplace, with the driver attempting to use an extinguisher to stop the fire. Firefighters from Lidcombe fire station arrived within minutes to find the LPG forklift totally involved... with fire and got to work immediately, to bring the fire under control. The forklift was destroyed however, no other damage or injuries occurred. See more

05.01.2022 Fire and Rescue NSW Station 030 Lidcombe, Fire and Rescue NSW Station 062 Bankstown, Fire and Rescue NSW Station 085 Chester Hill and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 047 Revesby, attended the scene of a truck fire on Amy Street, Lidcombe, earlier today. Crews arrived to find a semi-trailer with flames coming from the top of the roof, caused by the load of dry rubbish the truck was transporting. Firefighters worked hard to extinguish the blaze, requiring an aerial appliance to a...ccess the top of the truck. The blaze was controlled shortly after 1pm and crews assisted in the transport of the truck to an area where the load could be removed. The incident cause traffic chaos. #fireandrescuensw #truckfire #preparedforanything
