24.01.2022 With winter approaching and the rains set in, we’ll all be using our clothes dryers more frequently. This is a timely reminder on how to prevent a clothes dryer fire . Clean the filter, ensure adequate air flow around the dryer, don’t leave the dryer operating when you are not home.

21.01.2022 Just before midday today, Pumpers 027 and Fire and Rescue NSW Baulkham Hills 067 Station were responded to a house fire in Winston Hills. Enroute it was upgrade...d to a 2nd alarm structure fire due to the numerous 000 calls a the large column of smoke in the area. On arrival both pumps were utilised in the initial fire attack. A power lines were being affected by the fire and shortly after our arrival, fell on the ground near the firefighters. A resident in one house was asleep and was woken by a neighbour kicking in the front door. He was safely removed along with his dog outside with no injuries The fire was quickly contained to the carport areas of both houses. The carports, 3 cars and a motorbike were destroyed and damage from heat and smoke to areas of both houses. The fire is currently under investigation by FRNSW Fire Investigation and research unit in conjunction with NSW Police. 20.01.2022 Rydalmere: Police suspect a factory fire may have been deliberately lit. Firefighters were called to the property just after 10pm last night, following reports ...of smoke billowing from the building. An internal sprinkler system had put out most of the fire before authorities arrived. No one was inside the building when the fire broke out. 12.01.2022 027 Parramatta Fire Station this afternoon was called to a building fire in Horwood Place, Parramatta. On arrival, heavy smoke conditions where encountered afte...r crews forced entry. A fire caused by an electrical fault in the storeroom was extinguished by crews shortly after. Ladder platform 027 was used to give the incident controller a "roof report" from above to check to see if the fire had penetrated the roof or the adjoining businesses. 10.01.2022 FIREFIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS The NSW Firefighting Championships have brought crews from across the state together to compete since 1932. Going head-to-hea...d throughout 11 events, teams combine skill and trust to prepare themselves for life threatening emergencies. Fire and Rescure NSW Assistant Commissioner for Regional Operations and Event Director Rob McNeil said showcasing firefighter's skills for the community is another added benefit.
