24.01.2022 Yesterday we had a visitor at our station today. The commissioner came in for a station visit and a chat. Then in the afternoon around 1645 we received a call to a truck fire which was carrying timber logs. With the help from the rfs crews tooks around 3 hours to completely extinguished the fire.

24.01.2022 More about the Emergencyplus app.

20.01.2022 Yesterday morning around 1am. 305 goulburn was turned out to reports of truck on fire on the hwy. With the amount of calls coming to our fire control along with the rfs our tanker was assigned to the call aswell. Thanks to the local rfs crews who help out with water. We found we had a truck and trailer well alight when on scene and the driver had gotten out.

19.01.2022 As the COVID-19 pandemic changes the way we go about our lives, our firefighters and support staff continue to ensure we remain prepared for anything. You may see our firefighters wearing a mask, we'd appreciate it if you could also wear yours if we visit your home or workplace.

14.01.2022 Triple Zero Calls: New government technology is allowing emergency service authorities to pinpoint exact locations of where people need assistance. Previously ...emergency service towers had to use pinging mobile phone towers to triangulate the position of an emergency. Minister for Communications Paul Fletcher was in Alexandria for the launch of 'Advanced Mobile Locations' (AML). "When you call 000 your location within metres will automatically be sent to fire, police or ambulance. Advanced mobile location (AML) is now enabled on iPhones & Android phones; if you call 000 your location within metres is automatically sent to fire, police or ambulance." www.7NEWS.com.au #TripleZero #7NEWS

14.01.2022 Congratulations to the eight new latest firefighters who have recently graduated from the Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) Emergency Services Academy. These firefigh...ters will be a great boost to our communities, who can rest assured that their first responders have received world class training and will be equipped for whatever challenges they face. On behalf of the community, I am pleased to welcome these firefighters to their new stations: Sharon Woods at Crookwell, Ellen Ryan at Goulburn, Emma Kirkland at Moss Vale, Craig Abbott, Naomi Eccleston, Brett Huyton, Brooke Watson, and Daniel Wilson at Yass on completing your training.

02.01.2022 THE APP THAT COULD SAVE YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE'S LIFE!!! Fire and Rescue NSW and the national Triple Zero Awareness Work Group launched the improved Emergency Plus app. The Emergency Plus app is a free, life-saving tool to help people call the right number and be found easily in an emergency, anywhere in Australia. One of the new features within the app, is the addition of what3words. what3words has divided the world into 3 metre squares and given each one a unique three word i...dentifier. It means any precise location can be communicated with just three words. With what3words now available within the Emergency Plus app, callers can now describe their exact location in an emergency, quickly and easily, with just three words. As part of the awareness campaign, we'd love for stations to get involved in our Help Triple Zero Find You campaign by changing their notice board to their what3words address and adding a message to "download the Emergency+ App" Take a photo and post it to your station page with the following copy: Help Triple Zero Find You | Being able to give your precise location in an emergency can save vital time and lives. Make sure you’re prepared this summer by downloading the free Emergency Plus app with @what3words built-in, so you can #HelpTripleZeroFindYou with just three words. Download the updated "EmergencyPlus" app today! Apple: https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/emergency-+/id691814685?mt=8 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details
