16.01.2022 Acting Commissioner Jeremy Fewtrell AFSM addressed media this morning to discuss the challenging fire at a home in Campsie yesterday evening and to recognise th...e quick thinking of one of the firefighters on scene. The firefighter, who was managing the water to the trucks, saw a body through the windows, he leapt into action and after cutting the bolts of the window bars, pried them apart to pull the young boy out. Our condolences and thoughts are with the family who have tragically lost a loved one and have two seriously injured sons.

04.01.2022 Please take care on our roads this Easter long weekend.

02.01.2022 Don’t be a statistic this new year’s eve. Every year people in Australia are maimed (and sometimes killed) by the illegal use of fireworks. Not only can they start fires, but they can blow bits off you. Don’t risk it.
