21.01.2022 Counting the Omer, Day # 35 ~Wind Harvest~ ~Caught Red-Handed~ *********************************************************************** Set the trumpet to thy m...outh. May God Bless you. ******************************************************************* Today is Day #35 in Counting the Omer. In Hebrew, the #35 is written with the letters "lamed-hey." These two Hebrew letters have a numerical gematria value of 35. Hebrew letters are rich with symbolism. If you have never taken the time to study them, I urge you to take some time to do so. "Lamed" is the tallest written Hebrew letter. As such it signifies "authority" or "highest rule." It is centrally located in the Hebrew alphabet and it is preceded by the letter "kaf" meaning "palm" or "hand" or "grip." It is followed by the letter "mem" with several meanings of "waters," "people," "nations," "languages," and "tongues." Hebrew scholars say that if you put those three central letters together, you get a meaning of "King of kings" or "highest Throne of the Kingdom." Along with "lamed" the second letter of #35, "hey," means "behold." Thus, the number 35, indicates "behold the Highest, ultimate Authority over all the world!" One might say #35 indicates: "He's got the whole world in His Hand!" This is our Blessed Hope. When the world appears to have gone stark, raving mad and seems to be in total chaos and disorder, remind yourself today, on Day #35 of Counting the Omer, that #35 symbolizes our blessed HOPE and remain in His Peace. Where do we place our hope today? Do we place it in earthly kings or the Highest Authority? Abram (prior to his ramped-up spiritual name change to Abraham) made this statement: But Abram replied to the king of Sodom, "I have raised my hand to the LORD God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, that I will not accept even a thread, or a strap of a sandal, or anything that belongs to you, lest you should say, 'I have made Abram rich.' ~ Genesis 14:22-23 (Berean Study Bible) He made an oath to God not to take so much as a shoelace from the "king of Sodom" so that no glory might go to that wicked government for his increase. If only we would understand this concept today as we cry for "big daddy" government to provide all of our needs while we eschew the only Good Provider, Almighty God. As Christians, we are not to place our hope in earthly government! The best we can "hope" for is that they leave us alone unmolested and allow us to live in peace while freely serving God. First of all then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered on behalf of all men, for kings and all those in authority, so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NIV, underline added) AFTER his spiritual name upgrade from "Abram" to "Abraham," we see his hope realized in the child of promise! Isaac means "laughter," so there is great joy when our hope in God is actualized. In Joshua (which is the same name meaning as Yeshua), we see after the 35th mention of his name, Joshua is again mentioned here in Joshua 3:5. This verse shows us to place our hope for tomorrow in God. Then Joshua said to the people, "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you." ~ Joshua 3:5 (Berean Study Bible) This verse was stated just before the nation of Israel was about to cross over the Jordan River into the Promised Land after struggling in the wilderness for forty years. This is the earthly example of an eternal promise. It is a shadow-type of our final blessed hope that all Christians should have as we "cross over the River Jordan" (pass from this life) and then pass over into the Promised Land (Eternal transformation). It is God's final vindication of our faith. When Barack Obama campaigned for President, he promised Americans "Hope and Change." Sadly, he delivered on the second part of this promise. He vowed to "fundamentally transform" America. To date, he has radically succeeded. Like a true anti-Christ figure, his words sidle up to biblical promises like a snake-in-the-garden fraud. Deep within our souls we yearn (hope) for transformation (change). O wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of this body of death? ~ Romans 7:24 (Berean Literal Bible) Obama plucked that heartstring with his evil counterfeit siren song. Unfortunately, instead we are now reminded of Dante's inscription on the gates of hell: "Abandon hope all ye who enter here." Obama told us to "hope" in ourselves. In one speech he even creepily stated: "We are the ones we seek." Shudders. We should only seek the Holy One. The only Blessed Hope with eternal value. Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.~ Titus 2:13 (KJV) Now we have his logical successors, the openly Socialist/Marxist wing of "progressives" touting the "Green New Deal." Like Roosevelt's "New Deal" overreach of government control, it promises us that if we place our hope in government, the entire world will become a utopian garden of Eden. "Green Deals" are not all that they are touted to be. Apparently, wind farms, supposedly environmentally friendly, are found to be systematically executing protected Bald Eagles by the droves. Dozens upon dozens of American Bald Eagles were found dead at wind energy sites over the past several years. Sometimes, the symbolism in these news stories is just too much to bear. In our rush into Marxist government, we may very well find our freedoms and republic are slowly becoming extinct. Much of the Green Deal is nothing more than re-vomited Marxist utopianism and Communist ideals. If we would simply pick up a history book, we would learn that government is the #1 mass serial killer in all of history. We need to stop putting our hope in a known serial killer. Governments are run by mankind. The wise person stated: "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely." What does the scripture tell us about the hearts of ALL of mankind? But Jesus did not entrust Himself to them, for He knew them all. He did not need any testimony about man, for He knew what was in a man.~ John 2:24-25 (Berean Study Bible) We basically hoped that revamping the same old tired Red Marxist and Socialist ideas would result in a different outcome. All of these supposed arguments of "fair share," "wealth distribution," and a Utopian-type existence have been tested before with abject failure as the result. They are not green but red with the blood of the many dead citizens of Marxist societies gone before it. They are as RED as sin. In 1936, Margaret Mitchell wrote a famous novel depicting the fading glory of the Old South after the Civil War. In "Gone With the Wind" the two main characters Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler, are a combination of both villain and hero. By the end of this epic tome, the reader is rooting for them to win the battle against their selfish natures. With their dawning realization that their divided country had entered a changed era, they recognized that they would both have to REPENT of their selfishness in order to survive. Interestingly, both of these character names have the shaded meaning of the word "red." (Rhett ~ "ardent" or "fiery" and Scarlett ~ "deep red") "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool." ~ Isaiah 1:18 (NKJV) There is a saying about the definition of insanity. It is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting or hoping that it will have a different result. America can be likened to a rocket propelled into exalted status because we were originally founded on biblical values. Similar to a rocket that has run out of gas, we will soon begin to see our engine and ascent stall. Remember the "Wile E. Coyote" cartoons of old? After he ran off the cliff, there was a moment of suspended animation before he began his rapid descent into the valley below. Any hope that we place in the "wisdom" of mankind will ultimately be unfounded: Thus says the Lord: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord." ~ Jeremiah 17:5 (ESV) Jesus Christ is our only sure Solid Rock Foundation So this is what the Lord GOD says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will never be shaken.~ Isaiah 28:16 (Berean Study Bible) As we continue Counting the Omer, let us remember we must continue counting on God Almighty. Then, and only then, will our hope be restored and will we be able to accomplish the Great Commission to change the world's course off its present march towards utter destruction. With the global pandemic virus plague, our civil liberties appear to quickly be "Gone with the Wind." When will we wake up and realize that we need to put our faith in Christ in order to survive the "winds of change" in this New World Order? If not, much like the symbolic imagery of the American bald eagle, we may simply... WIND UP GONE. He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather today: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? ~ Matthew 16:2-3 (KJV) Repentance Prayer: Abba Father, In Jesus' Holy Name, Help us not to fall for the same old lie from the same old snake. We may think it is a "new deal" but instead it's the same old poison apple. Once we have bit into it, it is too late. Help us to put our faith in Christ alone and not earthly utopian schemes and plans. Help us to REPENT and turn to You individually and collectively across our own nations and across the world. Help us to fulfil Your Great Commission by making disciples of others in the ways of the Lord and not in the ways of progressive socialistic democracies. May God Bless you. ******************************************************************* Today is Day #34 of Counting the Omer. In God's word the number 34 is related to the naming of a son. We find that the 34th time Abraham's name is mentioned is when he named his son Isaac (Genesis 21:3). We see this "naming of sons" concept again in Numbers 34 when the princes of Israel are named according to the portion of their land inheritance: And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance. And the names of the men are these... ~ Numbers 34:18-19(b) (KJV) Since the scripture teaches us about the importance of naming names, we must do likewise. However, today we see a strange shift among some ministries, particularly among those which purport to be mission outreaches to Israel and the Jewish people, to purposefully STOP mentioning the Name of Jesus. One recent email I received, only vaguely mentioned the coming "Messiah" along with a politically correct message that surely God won't turn anyone away, right? Another one only speaks of everyone sharing the same "God." While Jews and Christians, do indeed, call upon the same God, only ONE NAME offers Salvation ~ & THAT NAME IS JESUS! Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: FOR THERE IS NONE OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN GIVEN AMONG MEN, whereby we must be saved. ~Acts 4:10-12 (KJV/emphasis added) That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things in earth, and things under the earth. ~ Phil 2:10 (KJV) Jesus Christ commanded us to "GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS" (Matthew 28:19) which is The Great Commission. If we attempt to do this without mentioning His Holy Name, our message will have no spiritual power. Unless we NAME HIM, we are setting up the Jewish people for accepting a false anti-Christ message instead. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age. ~Matthew 28:18-20 (Berean Study Bible, underline added) For whosoever shall be ashamed of Me and of My words, of him shall the Son of Man be ashamed, when He shall come in His own glory, and in His Father's, of the the holy angels. ~ Luke 9:26 (KJV) But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven.~ Matthew 10:33 (KJV) If ministries continue down this treacherous path, faithful Christians need to start "naming names." Let's start by Naming the Name above all names... Jesus Christ, Yeshua, The Son of God. He is the Divine Perfection who died on the Cross for our sins. I'm not ashamed to say WHO He is. He's coming again to the Mount of Olives and those who refuse to acknowledge Him will not be saved. By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and is already in the world at this time. ~ 1 John 4:2-3 (Berean Study Bible, underline added) Many Hebrew Roots ministries often mention "Ha-Shem" in some mystical manner. May I humbly propose that we already KNOW His Name! Then He said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His Name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. ~Luke 24:46-47 (Berean Study Bible, underline added) In our first devotional Book, "River & Streams in the Desert ~ The Forty Forties of Scripture" (West-Bow Press), we opened with this dedication. Please allow us to share it with you again to see just "Who" He is according to scripture: Yeshua You are the Mighty God, the Prince of Peace, The Word made Flesh, The Lord of Glory, The Resurrection and the Life, the Creator of all things, our Lord and Saviour, God of the whole Earth, God made manifest, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Highest, The Lord of Hosts, Mighty in Battle, our Righteousness, the One Who is, Who was and Who is to come, the Upholder of Everything, the Everlasting God, The Beginning, the End, The First and the Last, The Messenger of the Covenant, The Messiah, The Deliverer, The Lamb that was slain, The Bridegroom, the Good Shepherd, The Way, The Door, The Truth, The Bishop of our souls, The Branch, The Vine, The Tree of Life, The Bread of Life, The Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the Valley, The Light, The Bright and Morning Star, The Day-Spring from on High, a Refuge from the Storm, The Horn of our Salvation, The Rock of Ages, Our Fortress, Our Strength, Our Refuge, Our Redeemer, The Builder, The Foundation, The Chief Corner-Stone, Our Ransom, Our Great High Priest, Our Mediator, Our Intercessor, Our Advocate, Faithful and True, a Faithful Witness, The Holy and Just One, The Head of the Church, man and all principalities and powers, The Author and Finisher of our Faith, The Lion of the Tribe of Judah, our Shield, Lord of both the dead and the living, Lord of the Sabbath, Lord of Peace, The Glory of Thy people Israel, The Righteous Judge who shall reign forever and ever, King of the Jews, King of the Saints, King of all the nations, King over all the Earth, King of Righteousness, King of Peace, King of Glory, King crowned with many crowns, a King that reigns forever, Fairer than the children of men, A Brother born for adversity, A Friend that stays closer than a brother, A Friend that loves at all times, Your Countenance is as the Sun, You are altogether Lovely, You were Obedient, Meek, Lowly, Guileless, Tempted, Oppressed, Despised, Rejected, Betrayed, Condemned, Reviled, Scourged, Mocked, Wounded, Bruised, Stricken, Smitten, Crucified, Forsaken, You are Merciful, Faithful, Holy, Undefiled, Separate, Perfect, Glorious, Mighty, Justified, Exalted, Risen and Glorified. If all of them were written down, I suppose that not even the world itself would have space for the books that would be written. ~John 21:25 (Berean Study Bible) Repentance Prayer: Heavenly Father, Creator of the Universe, Leader of all Nations: We humbly beseech you to hear our prayers. Our nation and, indeed, the entire planet is in a state of spiritual chaos and disorder. Trusting in You, we thank You for shaking what needs to be shaken. Start with me first, Lord. I repent. Lord, today help me replace my old sin patterns of my life with the Truths of Your Holy Word. As a nation, we are apostatizing rapidly and drifting far away from our Judeo-Christian heritage. In the name of "democracy" and "equality" we have instead invited in false idols and pagan gods. In the name of "choice" we have slaughtered millions of innocents. In the name of "tolerance" we have sanctified sinful perversions. In the name of "social justice" we have squandered our children's inheritance.
