24.01.2022 Great News - we are adding 2 new classes to our programme starting next week! We will be running a Parkour Class for all ages and experience levels on Tuesdays... at 4:30pm, and we are adding an Adults class on Mondays at 12noon. 21.01.2022 Have you gotten back into the training routine yet? It is even easier than ever with our new online booking programme - www.picktime.com/firephoenix Anyone can go to this site and see what classes are available and at what time, and book themselves in! No need to sign up, just enter your name and book yourself in to class. You can use this programme to book in for a trial, make up classes you might have missed, or get in an extra class if you find yourself with extra time on your hands! We have some changes since shut down, but it is still us, and the Warriors of Fire Phoenix have Found A Way! Join us!

20.01.2022 Have you heard about our new VIP programme? This is an awesome new training option at Fire Phoenix Martial Arts. Students in the VIP programme have a number of additional classes just for them, including our new extreme Bo and Kama classes on Monday at 5pm and the new extreme Sword class on Friday at 5pm. The programme also lets you participate in the Advanced kicking class with Sah Bu Nim at 12noon on Saturdays, or the gymnastics and tricking class with our new gymnastics c...oaches and Sensei Josh at 12noon on Saturdays. In exciting news, we are adding two NEW gymnastics classes taught by our new gymnastics coaches, Asha and Annie. These classes will help you take your tricking and gymnastics skills to the next level, or learn brand new skills, and will be held on Monday and Wednesday at 6pm. In addition, members of the VIP programme are entitled to one free private lesson per year with the Instructor of their choice, and are invited to our special VIP annual party. The cost of the programme is an additional $25 per month on top of your current unlimited training fees. Speak to your Instructor if you would like to upgrade and participate in any of these classes. 19.01.2022 Our School Holidays Camps are proving to be very popular indeed! If you havent booked in yet, here are the times that are still available; Tuesday 7th and Thur...sday 9th Games Camp (All Day) Tuesday 7th and Thursday 9th Martial Arts Intensive Camp (Morning only) Wednesday 15th, Thursday 16th and Friday 17th Martial Arts Intensive Camps (Mornings) Monday 13th - Thursday 16th Craft Sessions (Afternoons only, see poster for each days activity) If anyone is still keen to do the week long intensive Martial Arts camp, with the idea of being ready for a Belt Exam on the afternoon of the 17th, the way this can be done is to book in to the Tuesday and Thursday morning of the 7th and 9th, and the Wednesday - Friday mornings of the 15th - 17th. This will allow students to still achieve the 15 hours of Martial Arts training to be ready for the Exam. Feel free to ask any questions if this information overload needs more clarification!

16.01.2022 I love Saturday at Fire Phoenix! It starts at 9am with a relaxing and mindful Tai Chi class, then right in to the hustle and bustle of the 10am family class - today there were a record breaking 52 students in that class! Then at 11am we have a weaponry class for all ages and all weapons, which keeps us Instructors on our toes! At 12 I run an advanced kicking class, where we work on spinning further, jumping higher and kicking faster. At the same time our gymnastics coaches are running their tumbling class. Lastly, our champion tournament team comes in for their 2 or 3 hour long practice, but I cant show you pictures of their top secret work, it is to be a surprise for the US open tournament in Florida in June and the World Cup in Sydney later in the year. That is a rich, full Saturday!

16.01.2022 Fire Phoenix Martial Arts is now taking Martial Arts training online. We have online lesson plans and instructional videos so students can train anytime. We are doing daily zoom lessons at 4:30pm and 6:00pm, where you can see the Instructors and they can see you, to offer correction, answer questions, and of course, get in a workout. Replays of each days lessons are also on our online training website. If you would like to get involved in our online training experience, email [email protected] and she will sort you out with a username and password so you can get started right away.

12.01.2022 The school holidays start this week, and we have some great karate camps planned for these holidays at Fire Phoenix. Our first camp will be this week, on Thursd...ay 17th December to start the school holidays on a high note! Then there is also a camp on Tuesday 22nd December, which will be fun for the students, and a great chance for parents to get some last minute Christmas preparation done! Then there are two camps in January as well, and each camp has something different to offer. Each day will have a mix of Martial Arts experience, games, time to spend with friends and craft activities. Book your place now! See more

12.01.2022 We are now into our second week of our return to face to face classes in the Dojo! It has been great to connect with so many of our students again. This is our... current timetable for face to face lessons and for our online classes, which are still an option to either extend your training, or replace face to face classes if you are not ready to return to face to face lessons yet. 12.01.2022 Fire Phoenix is very sad to hear the news of the new social distancing rules which mean Fire Phoenix has to stop physical classes as of Monday 23rd. This newsletter explains what Fire Phoenix will be doing to keep everyone on their Martial Arts journey, and keep Fire Phoenix alive at this difficult time.

12.01.2022 From Monday 23rd November, Fire Phoenix Martial Arts, as well as all indoor recreation facilities in NSW, is required to have all students check in using a QR code in the Service NSW app in order to be Covid compliant. This applies to children as well as adults, so we will need parents to check in on behalf of their children when they come to class. To make this new process as simple as possible, we will have lots of copies of the QR code displayed outside the school so you ...can quickly and easily scan the code and get checked in to class. This is in addition to the system of booking in for classes, so please continue to book yourself in to the classes so we can be sure we have the right number of students in each class, and then when you arrive for class check in using the Service NSW app. It is very quick and simple to check in using the Service NSW app, so please download the app ready to use it when you next come to class, or bring your child to class. There are significant fines for individuals and businesses for not checking in, so we will have staff at the front of the school helping everyone check in and making sure that the process is as smooth as possible. This will mean that we ask parents to walk their children in to the school so they can check in to class, instead of dropping off in the car park. 11.01.2022 With seperate classes for Pre Schoolers, for 5-8 year olds, 8-12 year olds, teenagers and For adults, everyone can train at Fire Phoenix Martial Arts at the 10am class on Saturday morning - and they do!!

10.01.2022 Hi guys, it is great to see so many of our students so active in their training and attending so many classes! We would like to take this chance to remind you ...that if a class is booked out online and there are no spaces left in the class, there really is nothing we can do - once a class is full the government regulations prevent us accepting more students in that lesson. This only happens to a few classes per week, such as the Tuesday 4:30pm and Wednesday 5:30pm classes, so please book in to some of the other classes - there are so many to choose from - as our hands really are tied on this one. We would love to be able to have everyone come at whichever time they like, however at the moment that is just not possible. Check out some of our quieter classes for an even better Instructor to Student ratio! Please be aware that students who are not booked in to a class and who come along anyway will not be able to do the class unless, by some chance, another student is absent that day. We usually dont know if this will be the case ahead of time. Please help us keep safe and avoid disappointment by booking in to each class you attend, and only attending classes there is space in. You can see this clearly on the online booking programme, www.picktime.com/firephoenix Super importantly, please do not drop your children off at a class if they are not booked in - our space is limited under the current conditions and we may not have room for your child to wait in the Dojo for you to collect them. 08.01.2022 Have you had a chance to check out our new online booking system yet? Go to www.picktime.com/firephoenix on your phone or computer, and you can book in to extra... classes, change your class time if you cant come for any reason, and choose a time to do a make up lesson. For students in the unlimited programme, you can go through the website and select whichever extra classes you want to attend, as long as there is space in them. Your regular, booked classes are locked in, this is for extra classes you want to do above your regular ones. For students in the other programmes, your regular class is locked in too, this is how you can book in to a class to catch up a lesson you have missed - just leave us a note in the comments letting us know you a making up a class. For those of you who work shift work, this is a great way to book in for classes at a time that suits you, just book yourself in to the classes you can attend that week! Yay for even more chances to train at Fire Phoenix Martial Arts!

08.01.2022 Now we are back to our face to face classes, we are also running a school holiday programme during the July school holidays. We are planning some games camps in... the first week of the holidays, and then in the second week a Martial Arts intensive training week, to help get your Martial Arts skills strong again after shut down! Places are filling fast, so please email us to book in as soon you know which sessions you would like to participate in.

07.01.2022 We are taking booking for our school holiday extended programme now! We have day long Martial Arts experiences that will be held on Tuesday 29th September, Thur...sday 1st October and Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th October. Each day will be an intense morning of Martial Arts training, followed by an afternoon of fun! On the 29th we will be using air dry clay to make ninja stars, models and anything else you can imagine! On October 1st there will be a games afternoon with Sensei Jye. On October 6th we have another craft day, this time decorating rocks, pencil cases or calico bags with posca pens, and on October 8th there will be laser tag and archery in the afternoon. The cost of the camps is $45 per day, and you can book in for half days at $25. Siblings and friends can join us in the afternoon if there is space, however the mornings are just for our students. Everything will be carried out according to our Covid Safe Plan, so there are only 20 spots per day. You can book in by messaging me, emailing or talking to your Instructor in class, but book soon as places are filling up!

The adults daytime class used this system to check in today, and it is a very fast, simple process, especially if you have already downloaded the app. You can get the Service NSW app from the app store or google play.

04.01.2022 Our week long intensive camp is next week! These camps are always popular, and a really great way to take the next step in your Martial Arts training. Each morn...ing you will participate in 3 hours of Martial Arts lessons, working specifically on the things you need for your next Tip and Belt. By the end of the week, after 15 hours of training, most students will be ready to test to their next Belt at our Belt Exam, which will be held on the Friday afternoon. In the afternoon sessions, there will be a range of fun Martial Arts activities, such as board breaking, sword test cutting and more. There are some places still available, so book in as soon as you can if you are interested, as we can only have 20 students in each session, and some sessions have only a few places left. You can book in by commenting on this post, messaging me, calling or speaking to your Instructor in class. See more
