20.01.2022 On this day 11/12/1970 Bundeena had the opening of the NSWFB station number 080, 43 years later to the day 11/12/2013 the all new Bundeena FRNSW station was opened and being the first FRNSW to share facilities with the Ambulance Service giving us both a state of the art facility to work out of. Today 11/12/2020 marks the 50th Birthday for FRNSW in Bundeena. Starting off with around 30 call outs a year this has grown significantly to approx 240 call outs a year. We at FRNSW 080 Bundeena would like to thank the community for their support, along with our management team we look forward to another 50 years of serving the community and NSW.

17.01.2022 Monday 21/9/2020 at 09:57 the crew of FRNSW station 80 were called to a snake in a house. The diamond python was quickly caught and released back into the Royal National Park

17.01.2022 Sunday 22/11/2020 @ 17:18 the crew of FRNSW Station 080 Bundeena were called to a rescue incident at Wattamolla Beach, where reports were that some kids had dug a channel between the Wattamolla Lagoon and the open water, due to the low tides the water flow caused rapid erosion of the beach area and approximately 50 people were trapped in on the beach unable to make it back. After waiting about 30 minutes the water level in the lagoon dropped approximately 1 metre and the water flow slowed enough for people to safely cross. Police, Ambulance and RFS were also in attendance. #waterrescue #wattamollabeach #teamwork

12.01.2022 19 years ago the world was rocked by a terrorist attack on the world trade centre in New York and the Pentagon and also an attempt by passengers to regain control of another which crashed into a field. 343 NYFD fire fighter perished that day in the tower collapses, with many other fire fighters succumbing to illness since. There were many hero’s that day, but these fire fighters were racing up the towers to help while all others were running out. Today we pay our respects to all who attended

03.01.2022 Saturday 21/11/20 @ 19:31 one of our caring residents noticed an elderly lady locked out of her house with a bunch of shopping bags on her front porch the Good Samaritan tried to open the door with the key given to her by the elderly resident and this didn’t work. The crew of FRNSW Station were called and were able to gain entry, once inside we found the light in the lounge wasn’t working so we replaced that, checked the smoke alarms and helped carry in the groceries. All done and one happy lady to be back in her house.
