15.01.2022 Fathers Day. Today is the day we show our appreciation to all the fathers. As an emergency service, a lot of our fathers are either on shift or on call ready to help their community at a moments notice. For some, our fathers have sadly passed and we keep them in our thoughts. HAPPY FATHERS DAY.... .

12.01.2022 Change your clock check your Smoke Alarm Don't forget to change your clock forward and hour at 2am tonight. Or even better, move it forward 4 months so 2020 can... be behind us. Regardless if you move it 1hr or 4 months forward, take the opportunity to check your smoke alarm. - press the test button using a broom stick or simliar - give it a clean with the vacuum cleaner - replace the battery if its due - replace the smoke detector if its getting old or over the 10 year life span - and remind the other members of the family, especially the little ones, the importance of a smoke alarm and the sound it makes is to alert you to smoke and potentially fire. 04.01.2022 Remembering Don Thomas - 904253 One year ago our colleague and friend drowned in a boating accident. Due to covid 19 we weren’t able to say goodbye and give him... the send off he deserved. Yesterday, we celebrated the life of Don with his family and friends. He started his career in FRNSW in Young in 2015 and then transferred to Narooma in 2018. It was an honour for us and Narooma’s Captain Scott to present his sons Connor and Harry with his Firefighting helmets. He will be sadly missed by his wife Sara, sons Connor and Harry, his family and his many friends. Rest In Peace Don
