An executive Chef overlooking several Head chefs in their kitchen with their brigades. Lets Break down the roles and similarities to Political positions. Prime Minister / Executive Chef. Prime Minister, elected for 4 years, gets paid no matter how he performs, benefits far beyond his actual employment. Able to lie and spin, make excuses and never take responsibility to those that he serves. Executive Chef, contact that can be terminated for non performance, not meeting budgets and not meeting customer and management expectations. Needs to be able to multi task a multitude of situations while producing constant results in both quality and financial expectations. RESULT DRIVEN. Ministers/Head Chefs Ministers answer to the Prime Minister, who can under certain circumstances dismiss. Usually after they totally show how incompetent they are and embarrass the Prime Minister and get caught by the Media. Also elected with perks far beyond employment. Head Chef, reports to the Executive Chef. Runs his kitchen hands on, responsible for quality and the financial aspects of his kitchen. Understands the customer is of upmost importance to his and his brigade. Accepts to excuses and gives non in return. All mistakes under his guidance are his and his alone. If made, he understands and puts procedures into effect for them never to occur again. He will give it to you straight, bad luck if you like it or not. Junior Ministers/ Sous Chef I really dont know what a junior minister does except maybe arse lick the Minister and say he is doing a great job, lie when the minister is all lied out. Sous Chef. The heart of the engine room. gets it done, quickly, efficiently and will kill if need be for it to work. Totally loyal to his Head Chef and he makes sure the rest of the brigade are given the training and tools to achieve the Head Chefs goals. I can go down the line but I think I have made my point. Stop electing the same career idiots that keep doing things the same way when its simply not working. Lets make Politicians accountable with our well being, stop paying them regardless of the job they do. Lets run the country like a successful kitchen, using local fresh produce , supporting our local producers. Adding Value to that produce and serving it efficiently and without fuss, letting the customers judge you on each and every meal.
