05.01.2022 Collaborative printers Aiona Tala Gaidan (Badu Island) and George Gabey (Moa Island) participated in Firebox's inaugural "printer training program" where they went through a series of technical projects, then collaborated with 3 artists (Shin Koyama, Justin Bishop and Rose Rigley), they then editioned the works. It was and intense week and the printers did a great job! With the ways these guys threw themselves into the projects and collaborations, I'll have trained myself out of a job in no time. Many thanks to the artists who gave their time to the program, and a special thanks to Black Square Arts who generously provided us with the studio - Morning Star Press... without the support the program wouldn't have happened.
