24.01.2022 Yesterday we were at Bathurst on a road extension job, this morning we installed a timelapse unit at Beecroft Station, and tomorrow we finish up at Glencore mine, only to go to Mach Energy rail loupe to install that camera we just pulled down along with a new trailer, for 10 months.

24.01.2022 How good is this kind of construction? 28 pods, or a 3 storey building lifted into place in 3 days!! I see more and more of this across sites nowadays. It lessens congestion around sites, and as it’s built off site, the impact around the local area is greatly reduced.

24.01.2022 Early start for a 1000 cube pour. That means 165 truck loads of concrete. 1 load every 4 minutes for the next 12 hours or so.

22.01.2022 the University of Newcastle are having their McMullin Building demolished to make way for new facilities. Today, we are onsite to capture the finer details of the demo work. Here, a 50 ton excavator with jaws, rips through the concrete easily. Notice the water suppression to keep the dust at bay?

22.01.2022 When you work in blast zones, you have to expect to eventually get a hit. Here’s one of our solar panels after a blast a few weeks ago. We managed to retrieve it this morning. At least the camera was ok and still working

19.01.2022 Here is one of our time-lapse creations, using 2 TL units, one front and one at the back of this big bit of mining gear.

19.01.2022 The Store in Newcastle will top-out next week. I don’t think so many people have been so excited to see a carpark get finished. #domagroup #blocaus #timelapse #newcastleaus

18.01.2022 Today’s office is Marsden Park in SW Sydney. Moving a school a couple of hundred metres block by block. This trailer can lift over 3m in height, so no need to pull down fences, it simply lifts over them and keeps moving

17.01.2022 Well, that certainly has been a big week for us. Went to Dubbo on Monday to finish off The Western Plains Zoo project, finishing that one with a dusk drone fly around. Went to Lithgow to install 2 cameras for a 20 month RMS bridge project, then went to Sydney to install 1 camera at Bexley North train station, booked in 2 more cameras for Petersham train station, and then won a 3 camera job at Muswellbrook for Laing O'Rourke on a 2 year TfNSW ARTC bridge project.

16.01.2022 You know it’s serious when they bring in a D10 to clear a spot for you to install your timelapse cameras. Setting up the first of several in the Upper Hunter Valley.

16.01.2022 Today we set up the timelapse trailer for a short project in Gunnedah. The Maize Mills silos are going to have a makeover with a mural of Dorothea McKellar painted on the north eastern face.

15.01.2022 Recently we completed a modular building project for Aboriginal Housing out at Goodooga, an 800km drive from our office. We set up one of our time-lapse trailer units, that has a mast reach of 10m, and captured this build over the next few months. What I loved about this build, was the environment. Goodooga hadn't had decent rain for 9 years, and we captured that drought breaking rain, and the transition from dust bowl, to green paddocks. You will see the amount of times that dust is on the front of the camera unit, and there wasn't much we could do about that. This was a really enjoyable Timelapse project for our team. https://vimeo.com/415834733

14.01.2022 This mornings job is up at Bayswater Power Station, doing a day timelapse of a modular building install.

12.01.2022 Today we finish our long term timelapse project for Public Works NSW, at The Western Plains Zoo Dubbo. Great result. As the zoo isn’t open yet to the public until our little pandemic dissipates, I had the whole place to myself. These little fellas have just been moved into their new enclosures which is a small part of what we photographed. See you again soon Dub-Vegas!!

12.01.2022 Today we are at Cecil Park at PGH s brickwork site. Shooting video, and timelapse for a new high rise concept that is in developmental stage and close to going to market.

11.01.2022 When the first aggies arrive, you know it’s time. Topping out today at The Store carpark in Newcastle. #newcastle #domagroup #thestore #blocaust #concrete

11.01.2022 We do a lot of construction and mining work. But watching some of the massive machines being built never stops to amaze us. This build is a 600t digger, that's right, 600t. Its a massive machine, and when you look at the stats at the end, you can see why so many mine sites are using these diggers to replace draglines and other gear. Another awesome time-lapse project. https://vimeo.com/342627451/2f901abca8 #huntervalley #timelapse #Constructionphotography #Newcastle_aus #firebugphotographgraphy #Mine #Excavators #Cat #lovemyjob

09.01.2022 Today, we finished the NIF New Intercity Fleet, built by John Holland Group, for TfNSW. This was close to a 2 year build, in which we had 6 timelapse cameras in action for the duration of the project. Today they came down, only to be going to a similar project at Dubbo on Friday called the Regional Rail Project. 3 cameras will be going there, and 1 more to yet another TfNSW job in Sydney. #project #construction #sydney #infrastructure

08.01.2022 Early start this morning to set up a new timelapse camera at Banksia Station, Bexley North Station and then off to Beecroft Station. It’s good to have a client like TfNSW, who know that we have all of our systems in place, to ensure safe delivery and installation of our gear and staff on all of their live rail sites.

08.01.2022 Just arrived at Menindee Lakes to set up for shooting tonight in the water. Couldn’t ask for a more perfect start.

07.01.2022 Another big week for firebug photography. Full day video at Morgan Engineering in Singleton, timelapse camera install at Muswellbrook on a rail project. Timelapse camera install at Glencore mine, for a capping project, and a timelapse install at the UoN, university of Newcastle MacMillan Building demolition. #universityofnewcastle #timelapse #construction

05.01.2022 Today, we were in The Blue Mountains for TfNSW, on a station canopy install. Nothing unusual about that. Except this time, the job was done with live rail and live overhead wires. Usually work around the corridor is done during a track possession, which means no trains, and the power is off. So this was a unique situation, and was done between incoming trains.

05.01.2022 Another installation. This time it’s a trailer mounted, timelapse camera system for a 12 month project. This is another rail job, and it brings us to 3 on this particular build. Our trailers eliminate the need to work at heights, and the costs involved with bringing ewps onto sites like this one.

01.01.2022 You know it’s big when you have you use the pano to grab a shot. 793D Cat after a total rebuild at Complete Parts in Singleton. Now the short drive to Mt Arthur.
