Our Wangaratta Climb Crew stepping up more than 53,000 steps in the ...fight against Depression, PTSI & Suicide. This year we raised an amazing $4,519 for Lifeline, Black Dog Institute and 000 Foundation. 08.01.2022 On behalf of Firefighters Credit Co-operative I want to congratulate all the people who completed the the virtual Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb and raised so much money for such a great causes. Please read the letter that was sent to me from Stephen Axup, Event Director, this shows the numbers involved and how much was raised. Firefighters are proud to be a sponsor of such an amazing event. Hey David MFSC20 concluded on World Mental Health Day, which is when we surpasse...d $200,000 for mental health at Lifeline, Black Dog Institute and 000 Foundation. We are presently at a grand total of $213,000 and still the money keeps coming in. Our 520 participants have collectively climbed almost 4.5 million steps! For an unknown event, in uncertain times we are ecstatic with the results - well exceeding all expectations! Our heartfelt thanks goes to yourself and all the team at the Co-op for the support that makes the event possible. 2021 will see the MFSC coincide with the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 on Saturday 11th September. Our event will have a very special focus on the members of the Emergency Services that made the ultimate sacrifice that day. We hope that we can continue to rely on the support that the Firefighters Credit Co-op has provided since 2014, as our partnership has now raised $2.5 million for charity.
