24.01.2022 Please consider a donation to support these wonderful families who have lost their homes and belongings in the recent South Coast bushfires. I recently published a post on this page documenting Andrew and Katrina Condies tragic story, it is well worth reading. We wish them all the best.

24.01.2022 We have a few places available for our First Aid Course to be held on the 27 January 2021 at the Dorrigo Golf Club. If you need a First Aid qualification please contact Richard ASAP.

23.01.2022 Fireground copped a grilling from ASQA today in a ‘routine’ audit. We are pleased to say we passed with a few minor rectifications....(they had to search hard through the thousands of files we were required to submit at fairly short notice) A big thanks to all of our staff, especially Richard Shadforth and the contract trainers, also to the positive vibes sent by all of our people, especially the EMERG guys, and of course our students who give such great feedback. This was us today, bending over backwards to meet all requests for information.

23.01.2022 The crew at FIREGROUND Salute all Rangers world wide and stand in memory of those fallen and those who we know personally. TGL is making a difference and we are proud to be connected with TGL.

22.01.2022 Fireground plays a pivotal role by providing highly experienced trainers to work alongside FCNSW. This year we devised e-learning modules that were completed by attendees before camp to reduce the amount of time spent in the classroom.

22.01.2022 This week Fireground has been contracted to assist Forestry Corp to deliver training to Local Lands Council members from Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie and Wauchope, so that they can partipate in mitigation of wildfires and planned burning. Great work Russ Wall Visit NSW State Forests https://www.prime7.com.au/news/27950-fire-training

21.01.2022 Another successful fire training camp complete! Loving the socially distanced camp photo. Congratulations to all participants. Visit NSW State Forests

21.01.2022 .......Who would have thought that by the new year Dave would be wearing a Forestry Corp hat, using his expertise in fire management in IMT at Wauchope and now Cooma.

21.01.2022 Fireground staff have been busy putting the finishing touches on their new online training facilities. This room is already proving to be vital with Dave delivering online Group Leader training with Forestry Corp and AIIMS Incident Management training with LLS (Local Land Services) over the next few weeks.

21.01.2022 Great foresight from Aus Eco solutions in these projects. We were happy to train up their crew to participate in this type of cultural burning.

20.01.2022 Our cleaners have been out and about....word of mouth is such a great marketing tool in a small community

18.01.2022 As we finish off 2019 and come into the new year, whilst watching fireworks, or spending time with friends and family, please take a moment to spare a thought f...or all of those fighting fires, escaping fires, or experiencing loss from fire. Wherever you are be safe, and as hard as it will be for many, we wish you a very safe and happy new year. #happynewyear #sendinglove #thinkingofallaffectedbyfire #sobering #staysafe #lookaftereachother #herestoabetter2020

17.01.2022 Well after a massive 5 nights in Cooma FCC, finally have a chance to read some posts and post a few photos from last few day. Firstly my thoughts go out to all ...those directly impacted by these beastly fires. Secondly my thoughts to all those emergency response people who have been dealing with fire since August, there is no end in sight, just a few catch up days. Stay Safe Friends First three photos taken 10 minutes apart on Sat afternoon around 1500 temp was still around 38deg, as our fires went pyro. See more

17.01.2022 Congratulations to Dave.

17.01.2022 Thanks Ballan District Health for your assistance. When you are flying interstate for a job, it is hard to get those manikins in your carry on luggage. Dave also delivered Firefighter training to 10 Aus Eco Solutions trainee Firefighters.

15.01.2022 Our hearts are breaking for our Forestry colleague Andrew Condie, who has worked in partnership with us many times over the years at Forestry fire training camps. Pierre has given us permission to share with acknowledgement to his artistic skill.

09.01.2022 While we may not have any dogs enrolled in our Basic Wildfire Awareness (BWA) online training, we did train Ryan so that he was safe to enter the fireground with Taylor and search for koalas. The online training only takes a couple of hours and is a great course for anyone who would like to know more about the nature of fires and the dangers that may be encountered in the fireground. This nationally recognised training is available to anyone. If you are interested please email [email protected] and we can give you more information.

05.01.2022 ADVICE for our FOREST VISITORS: forest closures Did you know that both FULL and/or PARTIAL forest closures can apply for a variety of reasons? Active fire-grou...nds, fire management activities, dangerous trees post-fire, forestry operations, permitted events, roadworks and major weather events are just some of the reasons for closures. Fires are currently a major concern. Before any travel, always check the full list of FULL & PARTIAL forest closures on our website. And this Summer, ALWAYS check the RFS website for the latest on fires in areas you are planning to travel. #beinformed #besafe #staysafe #firemanagement #forestry
