18.01.2022 Thankyou Tanunda SA- the Drakes Supermarkets Fat Drip BBQ Competition weekend at Barossa Valley Brewing is done and dusted for 2019 and it was a great way to en...d the year. On behalf of the Steak Cookoff Association & Australasian Barbecue Alliance teams, Judges and all the visitors we would like to say thank you to the following, -The amazing team at Barossa Valley Brewing for hosting us on short notice, everyone who attended would agree this was an exceptional and ideal venue- who knew BBQ Competitions and an awesome Brewery would work so well together (there is beer left). - Discovery Parks just over the road, for providing us with land and signage for additional parking, which we needed both days. - Drakes Supermarkets for their support and supplying exceptional steaks. - The Barossa Council for helping with approvals and providing permission to use the neighbouring parts of Heinemann Parks Tanunda. - The many local Tanunda businesses that kept the Teams full of food, coffee and supplies. Congratulations to our event winners of the weekend Lick of Smoke BBQ for their win and first Golden Ticket to the Steak Cookoff Association World Titles next year in Fort Worth Texas and Butchers Axe BBQ for another impressive win on the Australasian Barbecue Alliance national circuit. Thanks to Ben from Smoking Hot Confessions, stay tuned for his amazing photography and videos from this weekend. Thanks to SCA & ABA Sanction staff and volunteers, and the judges that joined us both days, and all the teams that travelled locally and from intestate.
