23.01.2022 We live in a vastly different world to 12 months ago! A statement that has never been truer. This year the fireworks containers have remained closed, trucks parked up and staff looking for other work. The setback from the cancellation of Cracker Night to the economy is just one of many the Northern Territory will face over the coming months. But remember the slogan, Territory Tough! Our tourism operators, hospitality and in general the whole Territory is suffering. So, if yo...ur circumstances let you, get out to the pub, eat at a local restaurant, travel outside your box to Red Centre, Kakadu or into Darwin, shop local and get this beautiful and unique part of Australia moving again. Over the next few days, we will showcase some of best of what the Territory has to offer! Remember, We are all Territory Tough and we will see you next year of a cracker of a night!

18.01.2022 What a day and what a night! There is something unique and beautiful about Territory Day and it's not just the fireworks. Seeing thousands of people gathering in parks, backyards and streetpartys with BBQ's, sharing food and story's and having a blast while doing it. It sets us apart from the rest of the country and it brings us together in a way that is so "Territory" and it's bloody beautiful! Thank you to all our customers and I hope you had a wonderful day celebrating in the greatest place on earth.

17.01.2022 Don't forget to shop local tomorrow, get some steaks, snags and beer and get ready to celebrate a BBQ with Family and Friends. Forget the big supermarkets and head to the local butcher and pick up your meat, hit up the local supermarket for your drinks and snacks, the local fresh food joint for salads and the interdependent bottle shops for bevvies! Remember, keep it safe, don't blow anything up this year and enjoy Territory Day!

16.01.2022 Territory Day FIREWORKS. Let's get the facts right! FACT -The fireworks are NOT manufactured in WUHAN. FACT- Every NT fireworks importer last year signed a Statutory declaration to NT Worksafe stating they have product left over and ready to go for July 1st 2020 FACT - Local fireworks retailers rely on interstate importers to supply them. All importers of fireworks are from interstate, there are no local importers in the NT. If it is safe to allow V8 & Horse races, let Territorians celebrate at home with their fireworks. Think about the mental health boost and huge cash injection to the local economy in the form of shop rental, vehicle hire, job creation, food and accommodation to name a few. Mr Gunner it's never too late to change your mind, supported by the real facts!

13.01.2022 Things might get worse before they get better... But the big heart of the territory has lasted around 600 million years and is testament to territory toughness. Stand tall, stand proud, even if we have to stand apart.... TerritoryTough - @hikewithus_

07.01.2022 Territory pubs, restaurants and cafés deserve a gold star for the way they’ve been able to adapt. It hasn’t been business as usual, but it’s definitely been business! Order from Sari Rasa, pizza from the Lucky Bat Café & Pizzeria or Sammy’s Pizza, burgers from Good Thanks, beer from Alice Springs Brewing Co, all-day brekkie from House of Tallulah, Mexican from Prickles in Darwin or Loco Burrito in Alice, home-cooked meals from Pony + Sid, grazing platters and French champagne from Hilton Darwin, cocktail gift bags from The Baravan and much more. Get out, enjoy the pubs and restaurants and dont forget the Mindil Beach Sunset Markets open back up tonight!

06.01.2022 TERRITORY Day will look a little different without Cracker Night today but there’s still bucket loads of fun to be had celebrating 42 years of self-government today. One of our favourites places to eat, The Darwin Sailing Club are celebrating Territory Day with bonfire on the beach! The top 40 songs that shaped the Territory, as selected by the public, will be aired from 4pm today.... Venues such as the Darwin Ski Club, Deck Bar, Dom’s Bar and Lounge, The Precinct, Hotel Darwin, Good Times Bar and Grill, Kirby’s Katherine and the Epilogue Lounge in Alice Springs will be blasting the tunes. Territorians are being asked to celebrate the Territory’s big day with friends and family by going out for a meal at a restaurant, cafe, takeaway outlet or pub as a part of the government’s new Territory 10,000 initiative. You can go into the draw to win a year of dining out by simply scanning the QR code on display at more than 300 participating businesses. Territory Day is all about celebrating what it is to be a Territorian and family. Happy Territory Day and we cant wait to show you what we have in store for next year!
