23.01.2022 With @minichiello001 playing from the year 2000-2005 the Roosters had played in 4 Grand Finals The year The Count was injured in 2006 the Roosters would finish ...2nd last. For the next 4 years with The Count battling injury the Roosters would go from a power house to eventually finishing last in 2009. In 2010 Minichiello would return to the field injury free for the first time since 2005. This would coincide with another Grand Final appearance against a red hot Dragons side. Minichello went on to captain the Roosters in 2013 and to the 2013 NRL Grand Final victory, becoming the first fullback to captain his team to a grand final victory since Frank 'Skinny' McMillan in 1934 When we talk about the great leaders of our game The Count is often over looked yet it's clear to see how much impact he had on a power house club like the Roosters. In my opinion he's right up there with Brad Fittler as a Roosters legend. To this day his influence still leaves it's stamp on the game. Both RTS & Teddy, the best fullbacks in the game, have studied under Minichiello. He may go down as one of the most influential fullbacks of all time. 11.01.2022 Training and Culture Camp (21-22 November 2020) Over the weekend, a heritage Italian training and culture camp was held at Club Marconi (Bossley Park). Coach Leo Epifania, the players and staff spent the two days training hard on the field, as well as learning a bit more about their Italian culture which gave them a deeper appreciation of what it means to be representing their heritage. ... Ultimately the strong success of the camp was thanks to a number of people, but a special thank you to: 1. Club Marconi for providing the amazing facilities. 2. Co.As.It. for conducting the Italian culture sessions. 3. Enzo’s Cucina Camden, Trim's Fresh, Campisi Butchery and Cucina Galileo for providing the delicious food and drinks over the two days. 4. Tas Baitieri for coming down and giving an inspiring speech to the group. 5. Jamil from JQ Physiotherapy and Sports Rehabilitation for his outstanding physiotherapy treatment and support. 10.01.2022 Wishing the best of luck to one of FIRLA’s young guns, Marc Zaurrini, who has signed with the French side Albi Tigers for the 2020/21 season. Marc represented FIRLA since he was 15 years old and always put in 110% whilst representing his Italian heritage. Deservedly got his first International cap for Italy in 2019 and we hope to see him do great things overseas in the French Elite 1 Competition. In bocca al Luppo Marc!! ... #cuoreazzurro
