24.01.2022 #FarAwayFriday: Back in 2013, FIRM Construction completed Rio Tinto Australia's rail infrastructure service project in Cape Lambert. This computerised flash-butt welding facility produces Australia's longest rail string (400m). Once welded, 28 gantry cranes load them onto a specialised rail carriage ready for distribution throughout Rio Tinto's iron ore rail network. Designed by i2C Design & Management, the building facade features Narrogin burgundy bricks and garnet ice stone sourced from a quarry in Norseman.
