17.01.2022 As you are no doubt aware by now, the Victorian Government has declared a State of Disaster for Victoria, commencing today, 2nd August, from 6pm. The lockdown of Melbourne and the regions throughout Victoria will last until 2nd September, unless otherwise determined. In metropolitan Melbourne, tonight sees the first night of the introduction of Curfew. Travel is restricted to within 5km of your primary residence, and police will use numberplate recognition technology to monit...or vehicle movements. The only business to operate are Medical, Food Supply, and Petrol Stations. Everything else must cease. If you don’t want to see a full lockdown apply to your state or territory, we implore you - the public, to comply with all requests by authorities. Limit your movements. Practice good hygiene. Wear a face mask. Don’t travel or go to crowded areas unnecessarily. Think of others before you act. Otherwise you will suffer like Victoria. Please be patient. Let’s stick together and work to beat this virus.

14.01.2022 This week, our medics and nurses in the ACT, are participating in the 1a roll out of the Pfizer COVID19 Vaccination program with ACT Health. We have been able to do this as part of our involvement with the ACT Health COVID19 Response during this pandemic. We are required (and we will find this expanding at other health care and aged care facilities) over the coming period, for all staff to be vaccinated against this disease. First Aid Services also strongly encourages the pub...lic (who are suited to accepting vaccines) to participate once the general public roll-out commences later. The more people that become vaccinated, the more we can all tackle this disease. It’s also about helping out those who aren’t medically able to receive a vaccine.
