21.01.2022 Longish post but please read. Although we are in Stage 3* restrictions in Moorabool our Metro Melbourne colleagues and clients in Stage 4 are doing it tough. The impact of the Stage 4 restrictions on the Housing industry do not allow for Private Inspections of homes before purchase or lease. It is unreasonable to ask people needing shelter to wait until restrictions ease before being able to view a property or asking them to purchase or lease sight unseen. We are not aski...ng for open for inspections but the ability for agents to service their clients who genuinely need to move or find homes. The proposed date of October 26th [subject to case numbers] will effectively mean Victorians will have been unable to view property for 3 months. The industry has already proven its ability to comply safely with appropriate health precautions. It's time for one-on-one appointments to be permitted. We need to get Victoria moving- safely, securely and with certainty. *Stage 3 restrictions allow people from Regional Victoria to attend Private Inspections in a COVID safe way.
