24.01.2022 I can't wait to run this 5 week program at Don Valley Primary School. Just a gold coin donation to attend!

24.01.2022 Hi everyone! Only a week until First Steps in Music runs at Don Valley Primary. I'd love to know if you are coming, and what age your kids are so I can plan the activities to be age appropriate. However, if you just come along there'll be something for all ages! See you there....

23.01.2022 Hi all! I'm excited to say I'll be doing a short First Steps in Music Program at this event on Tuesday morning at about 9.45am. Please come down with your children and see what I do....totally free! Looking forward to meeting some new kids and their families!

23.01.2022 PS I'll bring the Teddies.

22.01.2022 I'm sorry that life has been getting in the way of running this program this year! Happy to say that Don Valley Primary School will be hosting us next term for a five-week block on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning. The great news is that these sessions will be free for participants! In the meantime if 5 or more families are interested I'll run a 4 week block in June in Warburton on a Wednesday morning. These ones will be $10 per family. Spread the word and let me know!

22.01.2022 Hi everyone, the next First Steps in Music program will run for 5 weeks at Don Valley School in Term 3 on Tuesday mornings. When I have firm dates I'll create an event to share. Also, I was very excited last week to discover that Cire Services has secured funding to run several Mother Goose groups (rhymes, songs and stories for 0-5) in the Upper Yarra Valley for 3 years! This is great news for parents and young children in our area! When I have dates and venue info I'll post them here.

20.01.2022 Hello there! I have been far too quiet on my page so far this year! Hope 2019 has been treating you all well. I have not started running my program yet but thinking of starting in Term 2. Who is interested in a music class for their babes in arms, toddlers and preschoolers? I'm keen to hear from you all about what day of the week and what time of the day suits you best? Perhaps I'll get organised and run a poll but in the meantime please comment and I'll start thinking about possible venues.

17.01.2022 Here we are singing our songtale at the Teddy Bear's Picnic last Tuesday...so great to have the CFA Koala join us on the mat! Thanks for the pic Judy! It was lovely meeting and making music with some new kids. Hoping to see some new faces for our weekly Wednesday session at the Redwood Community Centre in Warburton. That's tomorrow at 9.30am.

14.01.2022 Looking forward to meeting some new families later in July!

11.01.2022 Who's coming along to this tomorrow? I'll be there with my Parent-Child Mother Goose hat on. Join me on the mat for some rhymes, stories and songs!

10.01.2022 I have been really enjoying running two groups at Don Valley Primary School on Tuesdays mornings....after a bit of a cold I'll be in full voice this week! Only two weeks left in this series....see y'all there!

09.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who came to First Steps in Music at Don Valley Primary School last term, and to Don Valley PS for hosting me. I'm all full up with running programs this coming term but if anyone is interested in something similar in the Upper Yarra area message me! If I get enough interest (for example 8 families who can pay $10 per week) I'll run another 5 week block. Happy Spring!

08.01.2022 Tomorrow at 9.30am! Only $10 per family...cheap as chips, but you're welcome to come for a free trial session!

04.01.2022 Oh no! Keep singing Mums and Dads....as the article says; "The musical three R’s of rhythm, rhyming and repetition are crucial to a child’s mental and emotional development...and by participating in the shared activity of singing, parents are strengthening the bonds between parent and child. What lullabies or songs do you sing at bedtime?

03.01.2022 Interesting article....of course Mums and Dads have been singing to their young ones for ever, but are we starting to rely on recorded music to put our babies to sleep? Come along to a group with your baby or small child and gain confidence in your singing voice. It's your voice they want to hear!
