24.01.2022 SOLD P/P Here is a video of the colour change sapphire in mixed lighting. As you can see it turns into a disco ball of blue/grey and raspberry! A funky phenomenon all caused by the presence of vanadium within the sapphire’s crystal lattice. Such a cool and rare gem! Weighs 1.19ct, diameter of 6.3mm and untreated. Gemmological report can be arranged also.

22.01.2022 SOLD Something very different from what I usually cut and very happy with the result. A beautiful freeform rose cut that followed the natural shape of the rough sapphire crystal. The colours remind me of turquoise waters lapping up to a yellow sandy beach. 15.01.2022 SOLD Love these two toned blue and green parti sapphires! They are just such a unique gemstone. Unique like every one of us! This sapphire weighs 1.9+ct, 7.0mm dia x 5.1mm depth and is unheated. Lab report can also be arranged.

Colour reminds me of a really high quality Aquamarine but with more dispersion, hardness and scintillation (sparkle). Check out the vid! Weighs in at 1.43ct, unheated, dimensions of 6.3 x 6.2 x 4.1 deep and comes with Lab Report.

12.01.2022 Every now and then a sapphire comes along that just takes your breath away when you see it for the first time after cutting. This gem certainly fits that catego...ry and then some! Hard to let these ones go but it makes it easier when you know that they are going to be utilised to create extremely special and meaningful pieces of jewellery like an engagement ring that is going to be cherished. This sapphire weighed in at 1.09ct is unheated and is from Madagascar. I am sorry to say that it SOLD very quickly after posting the quick video story yesterday. See more

08.01.2022 SOLD Just look at this gorgeous tealy blue sapphire! I have had the pleasure to cut and enjoy it for a little while and it is time for it to go to its next home. This is an unheated sapphire that weighs 1.3+ct and is from Umba, Tanzania. Dimensions are 6.1mm dia 4.42mm deep and cut in my arrows round brilliant. This gem comes with a gemological report.

07.01.2022 This is a perfect example of what a Pharaohs Eye sapphire looks like in the rough! See the beautiful yellow core running through the middle of the blue outer. This creates a yellow pupil and a blue/teal/green iris effect, especially when cut in a round brilliant design. There is also a little bit of rutile silk that can be seen of which is showing the natural hexagonal shape of the sapphire crystal. This is a very thin rough so I am unsure whether I will be able to cut it with a traditional crown and pavilion or go with a rose style cut. Need to study the stone a bit further I think. Hmmmmm #whattodo ?!
